Fryer Tux

Lunch on Friday 24 August 2018
We sat inside and ate off real plates as today is our Wedding Anniversary!
Two large portions of fish (so lovely that I took two pieces home for Piggle and Athens in a napkin), two VERY large portions of chips, two large pots of mushy peas, one can of Pepsi and one pot of tea cost £16.70.
We were very hungry and only just managed to finish it all off.
We could hear the staff talking to the customers as they came in and the staff were happy and friendly to absolutely everyone.
Full marks for food quality and customer service.

Stopped here on the way through Kendal on holiday. The chips were hot & tasty. They thoughtfully chopped up the sausage I bought for my dog (he loved it!). The service was speedy and very friendly. I would recommend it and definitely come again if I’m in the area. Also: I love the name!! Thank you, Fryer Tux.

My favourite fish and chips shop in Kendal I won't go anywhere else! The owners are warm and funny you can always have a good laugh and natter with them. The food is perfectly cooked and large portions.

.. ROCK HARD CHIPS, SAUSAGE SMELLS LIKE GONE OFF MEAT AND FREEZING.... THE GUY BEHIND THE COUNTER WOULDN'T EVEN LET US HAVE A BIT MORE SALT, AS WE ACTUALLY WATCHED HIM PRETEND TO SHAKE SOME ON!!.... AVOID

Don’t seem to stick to opening times or opening days. maybe time to update opening times, absolute joke!

Popped in for a small chippy tea. After thinking we knew what we wanted the young lad behind the counter mentioned the Belly Buster Burger.

Well we both decided to try it out. All I can say is wow. What an amazing burger sausage egg burger bacon and cheese. Says it comes with a "small" chios but to me it's a normal sized portion. Safe to say we didn't need the chocolate pudding we bought.

This place has the friendliest staff and great food all cooked to order

I popped in for small chips with curry sauce. All the guys were really smiley and friendly. First time trying food from here an i will definitely be back! Best chips ever!
