We've enjoyed fish and chips from High Street chippy for years with no complaints. But tonight's food was very poor quality. The chips were awful, overcooked (dark brown), limp and greasy. The fish was a good size but again very greasy. The gravy was way too thick, really gloopy. The only thing that was any good was the mushy peas although they wern't warm enough. Next time we'll try Chapel Chippy.

Second time in a month or so at teatime had rather overdone chips. Texture was like they had been refried again from earlier. Not good at all. Fish etc. Was fresh, but the chips were definitely not fresh.

Me and husband visited here for a takeaway this evening, we ordered 2 medium size portions of chips and a sausage and fish and sauces and the portion sizes were huge and only came to £12 for the 2 of us which was a bargain. Would return in the future.

Visiting from down south. Great moist fish in lovely crispy batter with really tasty freshly cooked crispy chips. Good sized portions and lovely friendly service. Highly recommend.

Owner is absolutely disgustingly rude, talks to her clients disrespectfully. She is also very racist
