George's Fish Bar

The owners are great and really make the place. Chips are fresh, hot and tasty. The fish is not cooked to order but kept warm under in the counter under the lights and fried again. On several occasions this has led to dry fish. If you are opting for any other food then you'll be fine. Either way it has all been tasty so far!

Sent us fish that had been sitting for 1.45hour as they had no driver. Oh, yes and somehow this appears to be our fault? Cancelled order but still sent the food to us by another courier. Second time we have experienced big mistake with order and this outlet. will not be doing it again and would highly recommend to stay away.

Ordered cod and chips £10.50 brought home ready to tuck in and the fish had a different smell to it. Cut and tasted it and low and behold it’s not cod they are selling they are giving you pollock. I phoned to make them aware of this but denied it! I’m someone who is a pescatarian so I know exactly the difference. Do not order cod as you’ll end up with pollock 🤬😡

Traditional fish and chips. Deliciously prepared fish and chips, family run nice business. Highly recommended.

Excellent food. Portions are of a great size. Their spicy wings pack a punch and are super deliciousm Staff are so lovely. Definitely recommend.

Overall I use to quite like their food. But recently I have had some average meals for them and today the chips were awful, stale and scraps mainly. How can you give this to regular customers?. Not going to waste my time on going on about it but that was my last order from them.

Been getting my fish and chips from George's for a while and it's always been first class, not really a chips person as I find it quite dry but their chips is amazing, won't be going anywhere else
