The Corner Plaice

Nice piece of fish. Chips were OK and service good. They also include tartar sauce with the fish. Time to wait was to long, and they ran out of pies and most types of fish when we got there.

The shop staff were very friendly as we waited for our order to be cooked. Very clean and tidy. So our fish was cooked fresh. Lots of chips with the fish and all cooked great. Well worth going that far for.

I went for the first time recently and I will return. Really friendly service, amazing portions of cod and chips. The quality of the food was amazing and great value for money. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Best fish n chips by a long shot. Fresh fried, non greasy, the batter was flavoursome and crispy. Tartar sauce that perfect tang. Service with a smile by a lovely guy. Parking out front is handy too.

Good fish and chips but too expensive. I had a tasty large cod and chips. Although the meal was good, it was not good enough to justify its price. I have had better fish and chips around watford for a lot less.

I visited The Corner Plaice for the first time this evening, and bought a couple of portions of cod and chips for dinner.

Unfortunately, I didnt share in the good experience of so many others who have left positive reviews.

The food was fried in old oil. Both the chips and the batter on the cod had turned brown from it. The batter was crusty on the top but the fish was drenched in oil beneath it.

I'm so fortunate to have this chippy on my doorstep.

Staff are lovely.

The food is cooked to order, in particular the fish.

Usually there's a queue outside anytime I walk past, which tells you everything you need to know about its popularity.

Very tasty and I've not had a bad experience! Only good.
