Fantastic fish (tasty, fish and crisp batter (cooked fresh to order)) and chips as well as Donner meat. Very friendly owner and staff. Good value too.

Good food but spoilt by poor customer service. "I'll be with you in a minute sir" is a good start but then ignoring you for 10 plus minutes isn't acceptable. Neither is the total lack of "sorry for your wait" as you package is handed to you without a word. Back to Union Jack for me!

Excellent fish special, the fish was cooked to perfection, not greasy nice and crispy batter, not even soggy even after being wrapped for 5/10 mins whilst I got home, chips were good curry sauce bang on, prices reasonable, decent portion sizes, staff friendly and welcoming, will definitely visit again.

Well done to the Team 👍👍👍👍

First visited this establishment pre covid around 2018.
Had fish & chips that were out of this world. Recently returned in mid January 2023, and not sure if ownership has changed in that time but OMG the same food was so disappointing. The fish was dry the batter was like cardboard & the chips were horrible. Was so looking forward to trying the food again. What a let down. Premium price too.

First time we have used this chippy in a while and sadly we felt the food was over priced for the portion sizes and due to the quality of the food being substandard, it really did not reflect the price being asked and quality compared to others in the area. The batter on the Yorkshire Fish cakes was so hard but also strangly chewy and dark brown, not how batter should be at all, it had obviosuly had been fried several times before serving, not pleasant. The chips were not good either and costing £4.50 for one portion we received is OTT. If the quality of the food reflected the price not a problem, but sadly it didn't.

Over priced and poor quality food. Yorkshire fish cakes looked and tasted as if they had been fried several times before being sold as the batter was dark brown and was hard but strangely chewy to eat so after two bites didnt bother. The prices are very expensive for what you get compared to other chippies in the area and whilst I dont mind paying more on occasions the food has to be of a excellent quality and value and this wasnt. Would sadly not recommend.
