There was a bit of a queue but it was worth the wait it was all cooked fresh to order. The cod was white white and the batter crispy. The chips weren't soggy but crisp. The grandkids thought it was brilliant, will definitely call again

Crispy, fresh, quick. Definitely made to order. Had a medium CPD, got served quickly, fish and chips tasted fresh and crispy. Variety of sauces available, hand sanitizer and chips vinegar. Was our first time here but will certainly come again, especially as they have Gluten Free Fish batter available. Staff were freidnly too and answered all questions.

Great fish and chips. Portions are huge however and in this regard I could have gone for the kids option of cod, chips and peas which also came with a small carton of orange juice. It would have more than sufficed.

Ask for a large cod and chips and you get a whale size portion. Food is amazing and highly recommended .

We visited this fish bar twice on our holiday in Kent for a sit in meal and loved the food on both occasions. The first visit I was split between Rock and Saveloy whereby the waitress said I could have a bit of both which was a sterling suggestion. It was a delicious combination. The Haddock was also fabulous apparently.
The second visit I just stuck for Saveloy and was overjoyed to see two Saveloys with the chips. It was lovely. The chips are really tasty too. The staff serving are all a nice bunch too.

Great little shop/restaurant, got a last minute booking on a Friday evening. I'll be honest, I've had better fish. Not to say it was bad, but it wasn't amazing. The chips on the other hand...... Wow! Fresh, hot, crispy and large portions. Amongst the best I've had from a chip shop!

Also, I wish they did their own fresh tartar sauce rather than packet.

To say I’m very disappointed is the understatement of the year. I was told this is the best fish and chip shop Rye has to offer. Forget it the food is terrible, dry overcooked and virtually inedible. £15.00 for two medium (tiny) overcooked cod and double dipped chip scraps. Starving so eat what we could with 0% enjoyment. Best bit was I had to wait 30 mins standing outside for this, you would think it would be fresh. You guys need to up your game, i for one will never use again or recommend. What a shame!
