Have been to this chip shop plenty of times in the past with no problems, however I will now share my most recent experience.

Skinny woman with glasses and greasy hair was putting together prepared food into paper etc - constantly licking her fingers & rubbing her nose whilst handling food. No hair net, sneezing & coughing. Disgusting! Another female member of staff with died hair was packing the orders into bags, she was placing all the bags ON THE FLOOR behind the counter to fill them with customer orders.

U til these issues are addressed I will take my business else where.

Come on Al, you used to be the best, what the Hell has happened lately?

This used to be a fab little chippy with great tasting fish n chips etc. However, I'm sad to say that this seems to be no more, as our last half a dozen visits have been extremely disappointing having been served up very dry, shrivelled 'cardboard' chips, at least half of which consisted of small hard crispy 'chips' which were unedible. The fish was almost non existent, most of which was fused to the copious amount of crispy overcooked batter.
The only reason we've gone back a few times is because we hoped these have only been unfortunate 'blips' due to past good experiences, but sadly this now seems to be the norm, so definitely won't be returning.

Absolutely awful service, ordered 7 meals, got chips for 3 of them. Couldn't even try to split the chips out as the portions were too small. Should have realised when there was no queue outside. I should have waited in the queue at the tram stop. Really not recommended.

These are hands down the best chips I've had in my life. Great staff too. Definitely the best chippy in the Forest of Dean. Delicious

Quite possibly the best chicken nuggets I've ever had... especially, with the gravy. Everything was cooked fresh. If you're staying at Forest Holidays in the Forest of Dean, you have to try this fish and chip shop. Definitely worth a visit

Stopped her in the car to have fish and chips. I am from up North so very particular about my fish and chips. This is the best fish and chips I have tasted in the Forest area FOD. Also very good service and they took my waste boxes back and recycled, so great food and environmental.

Absolutely beautiful food! First time trying here and must say I was well impressed. Not only was the food beautiful and all cooked fresh but the staff were fantastic and very informative on how long food would take. Very very good customer service, would highly recommend to anyone who wants fresh food, value for money and an awesome team.😁👌Will definitely not be going anywhere else near here. Found my chippy 😋😋😋
