Excellent, classic, English fish and chip shop run by friendly, efficient staff. Our cod and chips lunch was obviously freshly prepared and tasted fabulous. Kebabs also available.

We used the online app to order our food and when we got there I was very happy we had, it was very busy!! Despite this our order was done on time and beautifully fresh.
I had cod and chips and my partner had the new gyros box. We were both very happy with our food. The fish was delicious and very filling. I will definitely be returning!! Well done all the staff on your top 50 award - how lucky we are to have this in the village!!

Just tried the Gyros Box from the new Greek menu. Another fantastic addition to our local takeaway. It was of high standard and full of flavour. It's just been voted in the top 50 fish and chip shops in the country and its well worth its place in that list. Easy ordering system on line or by phone is great too. Keep up the good work all at the Alrewas Fryer 👍

Lovely staff and the Fish and chips were out of this world. Large cod is indeed large and very tasty. Had meals for four of us and we all said how nice it was. Some couldn't eat it all as large portions.

Very inconsistent. One day the best fish and chips around the next day a soggy mess. It's gotten to the point where I unwrap and try the food in the car so I know weather or not it needs to go in the bin outside the shop and order from the Chinese opposite.
Service is very slow. The model they run where one or two take the orders and the back ground staff put it together doesn't work. Staff are very friendly and plenty of options on the menu

Not enough words to describe the quality of this cod, thick fillet, with a crunchiness that melts in your mouth, a delight, I ordered it with salad because it was very hot and I was surprised with a simple but fresh and appetizing salad and it came generously and accompanied by a lemon slice.
The village of Alrewas is beautiful and special just like this cod.

This is a fabulous chip shop....it is evident that they care about what they do and the quality of the food....they have got it right.....what a refreshing change in times when prices are high ...the quality if the food is second to none....the cod and chips is better than going to a good quality pub for dinner and as for the Irish curry sauce......sublime.....simple pleasures......alrewas fryer your efforts are appreciated 😊

Absolutely lovely Chip shop , food is always fresh and delicious and the Irish curry is amazing !!! Would definitely recommend I travel 20 mins because it’s just the best I’ve tasted ! 😊 staff are always friendly and smiling 🙂
