Ranskill Fish & Chips

We called for fish and chip due to good reviews? however we are sorry to say they were a disappointment! Batter really hard and greasy fish not the best.. they were lovely staff and I know if we had taken them back they would have done something about it. But we didn't think a 15 min journey would have been worth it.. maybe just an off day!!

Happy friendly staff. Unfortunately got my phone order slightly wrong (It was during their busiest time on a Friday evening) but rectified it quickly when I queried what I had been charged (an item I didn't order). The member of staff serving me didn't check my food before I left and missed a side order. The quality of food was good and it hasn't put me off from going back, I'll just be asking them to check the order before I leave.

Excellent service by friendly staff. One of the few fish shops who cook my favourite Yorkshire fish cake. Recommend.

What a wonderful place called in for ×2 fish and chips with curry Friday afternoon I would give 10stars if I can beautifully cooked

Very Disappointing
Well appointed chippy. Seemed busy. Service from the front team excellent.
Ordered 2 x fish and chips
2 beautiful large cod fillets despatched into the fryer..
This is where it all went wrong . Got home opened the packet and got
Over cooked tasteless fish, batter was over cooked and not seasoned. The tail end of the fish stuck to the batter and so very dry.
Chips over cooked too and not of a good standard.
Sure this is a one off. £15.00+ too expensive

First time been I to the chip shop on Station Road in Ranskill, got 2 x mini fish and chip. Beans and peas, and of course a sausage for the dog. It was beautiful, really enjoyed it. Dog loved her sausage too. Xxx

Our first visit to Ranskill Fish and Chips. Met by friendly staff who were very efficient and helpful. Ordered Haddock, chips and mushy peas which were cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. A lovely experience and we shall certainly call again soon

Another wonderful meal from this amazing fish and chip shop .. Always consistently excellent , the service , quality and friendliness of the staff are a credit to the new owner - Wendy … who is carrying on from Jane who owned and ran it superbly for years .
A weekly visit should be a must for all Ranskill residents !
