Ocean Blue Kirkby

Feeling ripped off, Ocean Blue is a well known chippy is this area, a good chippy with with generous portions! Now I'm not sure if the portion sizes differ from ringing the shop directly to using an online delivery service such as UBER EATS. But we was unable to get an answer from the shop so we ordered from Uber an Paid there redicules prices. To receive a small tray chips with a fish meal along with a large battered sausage an a large fish.where the the amount of chips in the meals can easily feed a family of four, hens the reason for not ordering anymore chips. I'm the picture below shows s my meal that looks abit party size! My two sons meals looked the just as small as mine! Plus my wife had no chips because there wernt enough to go around. We also ordered mushy peas an gravy, which we never got with our order... I will give the benefit of the doubt an order one more time so I hope I don't get another result like this meal.

Sorry but very disappointed with the medium fish meals this eve. Realise delivery was delayed to no fault of yours (accident in Kirkby) but the 4 cods were inedible due to fish being extremely dry. Chips were lovely as usual.

Worst chips iv ever tasted just warm and still hard in the middle even with salt and vinegar it was bland. First time iv ever chucked chips in the bin.

Been here loads of times and never had an issue till today, was served a medium fish and chips. The fish that I was Served was not fit for sale and when I went to point it out I was attacked by a very rude old lady who had no manners at all telling me how wrong I was in a full-packed-out lunchtime service and it was my taste buds. I will give them their dues I was refunded before the old lady kicked off again telling me to order the right fish and not to come back otherwise. Very bad experience in all, won't be returning and will tell people From now on to avoid the place

Look we use kingsway fish bar so we tried here fish a bit dry guys,, batter was ok the fish a bit dry though...peas mushy ok not bad really,,chips erm ok but very small and sharp potato ends on a lot,, the overall price £8.50p a deal actually your meals are not bad but dry ,, its a busy popular place so maybe the oil or standing time of mainly the fish but im giving 3 stars i eaten all of it but needs something to stop the dryness

Our first time ordering for delivery with these and I'm not impressed.

The regular chips was a small portion filled packed out with batter bits that I didn't want or ask for.

Chip cob was also filled with batter bits.

The fish's batter was cooked well.

Delivery was 20 minutes late.

Was going with two stars but the kids said they liked their food.

I’ve been coming to Ocean Blue now for a least 10 years now. We’ve never had a bad meal and the Fish and Chips are second to none We do not live locally, but they are so good and we don’t mind having to travel. Cannot recommend them enough Staff are amazing and very helpful to.
