Allports Fish & Chips Llanberis

We ordered the Meal Deal at £9.50. Service was good, fish was fresh, batter was crispy and everything else was great. Only complaint was the portion size. For this price, it would usually be a bigger size fish and larger portion of chips but it's a touristic place after all and this meal deal is actually a reasonable price for good quality food in this location.

Just your average fish and chip shop, but just what we needed after our hike from Snowdon's peak!
They do a meal deal for cod, chips, a sauce of your choice, and a drink for under £10. They forgot our mushy peas but luckily we weren't fussed about that, maybe check your order is all there before you leave. Extra sauces (ketchup, mayonnaise, tartare sauce) are 30p each, but upon seeing the size of them we decided that was actually pretty reasonable.
Other reviews mentioned staff being dismissive or not paying attention. I can see where they're coming from but honestly they're friendly enough, I think they just get busy and it's overwhelming for what seems to be a very small staff body (3 people: one mature woman, a young woman on the till, and a young man working at the fryer)
Chips aren't as crispy as we normally like, and the batter on the fish is a little oily (though they do drain it after cooking), but to be honest after a long walk it was ideal.

2nd time using this chippy this week. First visit was faultless, 2nd visit chips were good but sadly the chicken breast was full of bones. I ordered a chicken breast in the hope it would be boneless.

We had fish and chips freshly cooked and the service by staff was nice they are very friendly and the shop is on a really nice street 5 minutes walk from the lake .well worth a visit high recommend this place.

Updated visited we went back to allports fish 🐟 and chips 🍟 shop again. The fish was as good as the last time we went 3 years ago , the portion size of the fish was much smaller. Although not complaining as we enjoyed our lunch. Well worth a visit if in Llanberis 😋

One of the best haddock fish n chips I've ever eaten. Best thing was they use vegetable oil and no beer in the batter, so halal. You can eat at the nearby lakes, plenty of benches /picnic tables there including a kids play area. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. You can park outside if you find a space.

Very nice fish, a bit less on the chips. Very popular place, expect a queue round eating times. But worth the wait. Staff are hard working and very friendly

The fish & Chips were nice. Certainly not the best I've eaten but certainly not the worst. The service again was OK. Little slow when taking orders but apart from that fine. My only issue was the portion size. The portion size of the chips was a joke and not enough to fill a young child never mind a grown adult. I would of returned but already drove about 10 miles so wasn't returning. I wish I had of checked whilst at shop. I would not rush back here. But would possibly use it again if in the area.

Great prices and good tasting fish and chips. Definitely recommend.
