Go here regular. Lovely people run it very friendly. Love the chips and curry sauce the sweet and sour is yummy. My only dislike is the batter on the cod it's a bit too thick.

Best value cod and chips I've ever found 🐠 🍟 easily found with a great range of quick and wholesome food at realistic prices. Good service to! I've lived in the area for over 30 years and it's only got better, I call it shark an chips as the fish portion is always enormous with enough chips for two. They also do curries, burgers and kebabs to boot well recommended 👌

Went here yesterday, asked if they do chicken donner as I couldn't see any cooking. They said they do so I paid. Then I watched them pick up a container that was sat on the side - not hot held or chilled and they took chicken out of it before proceeding to put it in the microwave.

I quickly told them I don't want that and got my money back - not sure how old the chicken was or how long it had been left in unsafe conditions but i'm not taking the risk of poisoning myself with chicken that is not stored properly.

I wont be going back after witnessing this disregard for food safety with a high risk food.

Edit: In reply to the response, I doubt very much that the chicken was cooling or that they cook a small amount of chicken donner each day for a number of reasons:
1) The Donner machine was cleaned and looked like it had not been used - which is why I asked several times if you did chicken donner. If you did manage to cook a small amount this would of cooled by the time you had stripped, cleaned and reassembled the machine and the meat should of been in the chiller.
2) when the person picked up the Baine Marie container from the side they didn't even check if it was hot before grapping the stainless steel - indicating that they knew it was not hot.
3) When you went to heat up the chicken and I asked if you had fresh you said no just that - you didnt say it was fresh.

As for your other comments i'm sure your qualifications let you know that chicken is a high risk food so it should of been chilled - It is my suspicion that this was not cooked on the day but I am not in a position to confirm that.
