Gaerwen Fish & Chips

Service very good and polite. Portion about right, not too greasy, fish OK, batter needs improving though. Chips were nice but too many small crunchy chips, not enough proper chips. Gravy was nothing special. Would not go out of my way to eat from here. Think Anglesey chippies need more local competition.

Few years ago was the best local chippy. But after a change of staff about two years
ago quality went down stopped going there. But tried it again few weeks ago disappointed. Chips was quite cold soggy sausage was tasteless. Better shops out there.

I can definitely say - the BEST fish & Chips around!! Me and my son stopped here on a long bike ride in the rain (wasn’t rainy when we started out!) The owner was so friendly and nice. We told her we were competing a cycling challenge for my sons local football team and she gave my little boy extra chips as a well done! Lovely little place, and like I say - flippin’ gorgeous fish n chips!!

Lovely village takeaway with friendly, polite service. The menu has a good selection and I can particularly recommend the fruity curry sauce. Can't wait to see the new frying range cooker in place soon.

Best fish and chips on Anglesea! Came across this haven by chance. Was really hungry while out on our trip across the island. Every thing fresh cooked and tasted great. The tea was great as well. The building is nothing to look at, but the staff were brilliant and I felt they quite liked their work. Will visit again. Highly recommended.

lovely chips, cooked really well and the fish was beautiful. lots of flavour, not greasy or oily and a good crisp batter. one of the best chip shops iv eaten from.
