Lakeside Fish Bar

Very over priced first visit and bought fish n chips plus a jumbo sausage. I honestly think there was more cod in a fish finger than what they served to me. To add insult to injury there were a handful of bones in it plus they leave the skin on which I hate Jumbo sausage was so dry and felt had the texture of a pepperami without the taste. Wont be going there again. If you love your fish n chips go to the harbour just outside newport town centre great portions, lovely thick cod and much cheaper.

Had fish and chips Friday 29th April ..must say it was the best fish we have had from there .. girls are lovely, always rushed off their feet, but always smiling and polite to the customers 😄

Very nice, good portion size. Getting expensive but isn't everything 🙃 will be back and recommended

Decent food, a little pricier than I'd like. Slow service, even when there seems to be plenty of staff.

Gob smacked with there prices! I know everyone is putting there prices up but £5.3o oddfor a cheese beans and chips is ridiculous.. will take a pack lunch to the park next time😅

Had three brilliant fish and chips. Fish freshly cooked chips yery good. Not cheep but fish is expensive. Will return . Not really by a lake but what ever.

Chips were greasy.. They didn't look nice either. Not sure if they been standing around.
I called in at 1.45pm and was the only person in there. Maybe the locals knew something I didnt

Pies hot and crisp not soggy as they should be, but the chips very poor a lot of eye's in them they would have much better rating if not for that.
