Best fish and chips I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot! Miles better than anywhere I’ve been in London!! Decor was nice too, must have recently been done - great place to bring the family. Will be back as soon as I can 😋

Decent fish and chips. I had Hake which was a special and it was beautifully cooked. Chips I’ve had better.

Thought it was slightly on the high side of costs - £11 for fish n chips. However, that’s only because you compare it to your local chippy and not to any other restaurant.

Most things in the specials had sold Out. Would be good to see more seafood options.

What an amazing chippy, the menu is outstanding and the service was excellent!! Will definitely be returning and would recommend anyone in the area to try it...or travel its worth it!

We’ve had fish n chips a few times from John Dory and they’ve been excellent each time. We drive from Barrow Upon Soar to pick them up after our online order and they’re always ready on time. The fish is always cooked well, the batter light and crispy. The chips are so nice not soggy like some other places, I love the mushy peas and tar tar sauce! Our daughter would eat there everyday, fish n chips are her favourite! Parking is a bit of a problem though if the small car park is full. We had to stop for a few minutes parked up the road.

Very rude and will never use again! When the order number was called out, my mother said " oh is that me " to which the guy serving said " Errr why don't check your ticket "

went here after hearing the reviews left by people, first and last time, tasteless soggy chips, i’ll stick to what is award winning best, The Cods Scallops, definitely THE BEST

Fish and chips for two cost over £20 on my last visit, but I thoroughly enjoyed the food, and the service was good. On my visit, everything was cooked fresh to order, so expect a little wait. There is an option to have a pint whilst you are there too.

REALLY good quality chippy... great selection of sides you wouldn't typically see at a chip shop. Friendly staff, lovely decor, beer on tap while you wait. Wonderful
