Bens Chippy

Bens Chippy is the best fish and chip shop is Thrapston and the surrounding area. In over 10 years we have only ever had first class fish and chips. The food is reasonably priced and the staff are super friendly. Thoroughly recommend this fish and chip shop in Thrapston.

Visited a few days ago, and sorry to say that Ben's has really gone downhill under the new ownership. Chips were soft and undercooked (portion was generous), fish was dry. Staff were really friendly, but a chippy is all about the chips!

Since the New management vast improvements in food and Services.
Good portion sizes and more options.

Have been in here before and the food is actually very good however can't say same the same about customer service. Went in today and ordered my Food was quite busy and noisy so didn't hear him ask if I wanted Salt or Vinegar on my chips. Seemed annoyed didn't answer and said he asked me 3 times although didn't hear him because of noise around me. I said to him he didn't need to be rude and was told "well its a simple question". Suffice it to say won't be returning here in future.

Pop in for my lunch Friday and it was the best fish n chips I've had in ages. Really so pleased I had to say something.

We used to love Ben's chippy but this past year under the new owner it's gone downhill! The fish and chips just arnt that nice anymore, however the Donna kebabs are very nice. Last two fish n chip orders I've gotten home to fine we've not gotten all we ordered either! Not likely to use anymore.

I just went down to order my food and got told their is only one battered sausage left and that is for someone else but when trying to decide what to have, the guy said to hurry up as people waiting. So ended up with just chips. Very rude
