The food was ok with a smaller than expected portion of chips. I tried to get some conversation out of the lady serving but there was nothing forthcoming. I would look elsewhere in the future but it was sufficient at the time. The gentleman who works there was funny (in a good way) and should do more of the customer contact.

There were a good few ups to this place. Firstly, they had a good and serious attitude to the Covid situation, distancing enforced and many sensible regulations etc. The people were lovely and very conversational. The place had a nice environment even though it doesn't appear well furnished. The food was excellent. They gave sensible portions and the food was just what we needed. It looks like a small corner shop but I'd choose it over the neighbouring chippys.

Can't say anything about the quality of the food as we never actually got to the ordering stage! Was met by the most miserable rudest women I have ever met, we were in a queue outside of the shop when she came out to take orders off others in the queue beside myself. Got to me ask what I wanted and in turn I asked if the was a menu I could see, she then said with the most terrible attitude 'well I have the last fry in and I am closing at 6pm' at tbis point the tome was 5.30pm! she went back into the shop which i thought she was going to bring a menu out, 15mins later she came back and said extremely rudely "well have you made up your mind yet" needless to say I never gave her my custom which would have been £45+ Golden Sands I wouldn't recommend you to my worst enemy. The elderly women who was taking the orders is the most ignorant rudest person I have ever met. The 3 other waiting in the queue all said the same. 'SHOCKING'

Rude moody staff, shouted at me when I didn't hear what she said, everything was an effort. Didnt use gloves or wash her hands when handling my chips after touching her face and phone. The fish batter was raw and soggy, the chips were just about passable so didn't bother finishing my meal and definitely wasn't feeding it to my dog.

This is the definition of extremely poor customer service! Everything was an effort for them. I was greeted with 'you must wear a face mask to come in', albeit wearing a clearly visible lanyard. No employee was wearing a face covering! One lady was f ing and blinding at anything she needed to do.
No food is ready, so waited a long time for food. They also don't do chip butties, as they don't have any butter!
The only good thing was the chips.

Fish and Chips were very good. Staff was kind and can't really complain. Place looks a bit dated but not like I was planing to eat there :D

Rude is an understatement. Greeted by a very miserable old lady who was miserable as sin, and obviously does not know how to greet people. She also then proceeded to f and blind behind the counter. Chips were fine, but if you want a friendly experience, I would avoid at all costs. I wish I had looked at other reviews.

Well what can I say, the women who work there look like they had been slapped with a wet kipper. Miserable and very impolite.
Wore a face mask as stated but they weren't wearing one!
Chips nothing special and customer service zero.
Surprised its still in business!
