Best Fish shop I have ever been to in Wales, England, Scotland or Ireland. The fish is amazing and it’s always cooked to order. The chips are VERY moreish too! The food is extremely consistent and I’ve never had a bad experience. The Staff are friendly and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. It’s not on the menu, but they made me a corned beef fritter the other day. If you like corned beef, it was absolutely delicious! Especially dipped in curry sauce! Although my Dad would have preferred it with beans and chips! 😉😂😘 I’d highly recommend this place and I just wish it was closer to where I live 🤗🍺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Very nice fish, chips a little dry. Knocked a star off, as I was a bit disappointed that locals who were known by name seemed to get their order ahead of others (same items ordered), plus they were offered lemon with their fish & a smile with service whilst I was not.
Uniformity goes a long way.

We've used Farnhams since they opened as they're the best in the area, but we've noticed a gradual reduction in the quantity of chips being given culminating in the tiny amount given today (see photo). The total bill was around £11 for two very small portions of chips, one pie and one sausage in batter with a small portion of curry sauce. Everything was very tasty as usual but if you're considering one portion of chips between two, which is what we sometimes do, forget it as there wouldn't be enough.
We not complaining about the quality of the food which is excellent, but the quantity, which has become insulting.
We will stop using Farnhams now and look elsewhere or stop eating takeaways altogether as money is getting very tight now due to the worsening financial crisis.
In out opinion Farnhams will lose business with these small portions of chips.

Check opening hours. Beautifully cooked fish and chips and mushy pea fritter was nice too . The medium chip shop curry wasn't for me though, vinagery rather than spicy I thought

I have eaten here once and the food was very good. Good size portion of chips.

My only complaint is that they close very early on the weekend 8:30 pm

Excellent staff & food as always. Reading some comments ppl say they serve regulars before you but I don’t think they do. If u order fish etc they cook it fresh so obviously ppl behind you will get theirs as u wait for your own.

Lovely meal , chips are beautiful. Friendly staff who were happy to help with the order we placed

I would hate to see the size of a small portion of chips. £3.80 for large chips and 2 heinz ketchup's. I assume i must of had all the scraps before closing time 20.30pm.
