Enoch's Fish and Chips, situated on London Rd on Valley's south side, ticks the box for fish and chips with its distinctive format that follows the formula established at Enoch's Llandudno Junction outlet. The menu is as you would expect from a decent fish and chip shop. I suppose people have varying takes on what makes good chips. For me, fish and chips are crisp and come at you hot which is all I need for a job done and done well.

Background - I grew up in a chip shop.

Pros
Staff - very nice
Chips - good flavour
Chip shop style - I liked it with seating outside
Fishcakes - respect as they are homemade but I would pay much more for better
Haddock- good flavour
Whole tail scampi- not bad but not great, small for whole tail but nice flavour.

cons
Fishcakes - maybe cooked from frozen so not hot inside, no flakes of fish but good parsley flavour but no real fish flavour.
Haddock- the main event. It was greasy and small, the batter sticks to the wrapping so I ended up with fish minus parts of the batter.

I would say with a little more attention to detail this would be a good spot.

Enochs Fish and chips valley. excellent fish and chips. Perfect battered fish and amazing chips cooked to perfection. I've visited Enochs Llandudno Junction many times for the best fish and chips and this was my first visit to their Valley business and it is just as good. Great service and food cooked to order so it's really hot crisp and fresh. Perfect . The mushy peas and curry sauce are the best too. I also had a side of pepper battered squid which was just as excellent... recommended.

Great chippy. The food is really tasty and a good selection. Amongst our favourites are chicken bites, steak pie, salt and pepper squid, and of course, fish and chips. The staff are friendly and service is usually quite quick.

Me and the lads were on a road trip and we’ve been to various fish and chip places across Wales. This has to be the best we have ever tasted. The fish was so nice and crispy but soft inside we were in disbelief. The chips were also very spot on. The service however , was the best part of the meal. All staff were very friendly and helpful - gave us plenty of time to decide on what to eat and even let us taste the salt and pepper squid ! Amazing lads thank you

While visiting the area, We had our chippy tea here today. I ordered online and picked it up at the designated time slot. On arrival there were customers queueing outside which is a good sign usually. The restaurant looked cleaned and tidy. The staff were cheerful. Between us, we ordered a cod, haddock, scampi and the fillet. All with chips as meals. Although his place has raving reviews it’s not a place I’d try again. The chips were hard and well done. The fishes was extremely greasy and the batter was hard and crunchy. Its obvious some like it like that but not for me. Worth trying if in the area.

We are locals and this place is a hit or miss, but this time, it was terrible! Cod was swimming in grease, batter greasy and not even crispy. The battered sausage was soggy and greasy too. Chips were soggy. Curry was too hot. Will not be going again. Ever. They’ve lost my custom.
