Wetlands Lakes

This place has got to be one of the most tranquil places I visited, the animals are all in fit and healthy condition and very well looked after the enclosures and animal pens are huge this is something I love to see. the fishing lakes are packed with fish and the water is well maintained, there is always friendly staff members on hand to help in any way.
The cafe is spotless, food and drinks are well below average prices, you could eat out on the Veranda overlooking the vast lakes surrounded by trees.
The only complaint I have is that it is now closed to the public (guttered) we will miss visiting this place as I can't find anywhere else that quite matches.

Excellent place. The carp lake has now undergone a massive transformation with the biggest carp out so far at 32lb. Brilliant fishing now with every peg different and all double pegs. Great for a social with your mates and the huts situated on the pegs mean your not bivvy bound. You can cook in the huts and theres twin USB chargers in them as well as a night light.
Fantastic 9 acre water.
Overnight sessions require a night permit.

Wetlands is for the carp catches dream , but not so easy but well worth it. They is carp at 30lb plus. With beautiful settings and the owner is very friendly and helpful. Booking by appointments only.

Been here twice now! And all I can say is beautiful lake beautiful carp great facilities great owners! 100% be coming back and making this venue my new go to lake! Highly recommended!!

Booked a peg on the carp lake , given that I am disabled and I had to get a lift there only to find out he had given my peg away. This was all before 8.30am. All he had to say is you should have booked through the online booking, even though man to man we had spoken and arrange it. He just wanted his money. I had just moved to the area and have never been back since. Very dirty trick to do. I also fish 3 times a week so he lost out on a potential of £30-40 a week all because of his own greed

Amazing venue.. the staff are all polite and friendly. The pegs are all kept clean and there is running electric to huts on them too at the carp specimen lake which is also amazing. Also there is a cafe that do breakfast sandwiches etc so no messing about in a morning... for me personally it's the best lake local to me by a long stretch.. and best of all there's some beautiful fish some on 30+ and plenty of late teens upto late 20s. I won't go anywhere else now it's that good...also the other anglers all seem to be sound as well including lad off peg 8 think name was kirk helped me out. thanks once again n il see you in a few weeks...
