Great find and right on my doorstep, amazed at quality of fishing given size of lake. Took my 7 year old for his first try at fishing today and fair to say Kathy and Andrew couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Bacon roll was excellent too - suffice to say he's hooked and we'll be back.

What a fantastic place for fishing and walking. My husband caught over fourty fish this weekend. The lodge was home from home . Had a lovely meal at the Gate pub. Will be happy to return

We visited Longacre Fisheries for three days and we feel as though we have had a good well deserved rest, Andrew couldn’t do enough for us as the cottage was spotless and ready to go into as soon as we got there . The fishing is absolutely brilliant so much so as I bought new line before going as there are some big carp to be caught, Longacre is tucked away from anywhere else but only around a mile from Matlock plus some nice little pubs to eat out if you prefer. There are two cottages that he rents out and they are both self contained ie microwave cooker tv fridge freezer showers everything to you would want . We will be returning soon Thank you Andrew

Amazing place booked a day fishing owner very helpful, caught carp up to 7lbs . I was taken by the variety,mirror , ghost,koi,crucian plus sliver fish great venue for family 👏👏😀😀😀

I had a great afternoon's fishing at Longacre whilst staying for a few days in the Peak District. I have to say it's probably the friendliest water that I've fished. Andrew is a great host, with lots of very helpful information and even made me a cuppa. The regulars there are equally friendly and helpful.
It's a very small water, but if you're on holiday and only have a limited amount of time you don't want to be faffing about more than necessary. There is a big variety of species in the water and some decent size fish.
I also noticed that the fishery is well set up to cater for families and the disabled. Good for them.
I'll visit again when I'm up in Derbyshire.

First visit to this apartment. I’m originally from the area and love coming back. Andrew a very helpful and obliging host . Fishing was excellent and Andrew very helpful with his extensive knowledge of his fishery. I would recommend this apartment to anyone, whether a fisherman or not . Plenty of good local pubs to eat at and a good base for exploring Derbyshire.

Honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough! I booked this for a fishing break for my fella as a treat and was so pleased. Really cute, comfortable and cosy little place. Andrew the owner is so lovely, welcoming, helpful and really made us giggle too. Beds are like sinking into a cloud 🤤 has sky and sky sports in your accommodation, fresh towels and bedding, up to date decor and clean. Beautiful walks in the country and my fella really enjoyed the fishing! Great little holiday trip to relax and fishery. Defo will be coming back 🤗 thanks Andrew

Words can not actually describe how amazing my time here was. A.weekend was booked in secret by my partner for my 30th birthday. And it came up more than I could have ever imagined.
The lake stock is perfect and has a great variety of fish, ranging from small silver fish to massive lumps of carp.
The lake and surrounding grounds, as well as the lodgings are kept immaculate. And when I say that I don't mean it loosely, this place is picture perfect both inside and out.
Welcoming, warm, friendly and great banter. Extremely knowledgeable too. This is Andrew, the owner. Him and his crazy little dog jake are the icing on the cake. The most welcoming host, the kindest and most helpful fishery and business owner I've ever met. This man is 100% for the angler / customer. He did everything and more and didn't treat anyone on the lake as a customer, but more like a friend.
I honestly can say I was truly upset to leave after a perfect weekend.
Andrew, if you're reading this. All the best for the future of the fishery and lodges (you know what I mean!) - and don't ever stop fulfilling your passion. I really can't wait to come back. And it's all down to you!
