Liked: This was the families first camping trip. It took me a long time to choose the 'right' campsite for this momentous trip. From the moment we arrived, I knew I'd made a great choice. The lady on reception was lovely and welcoming. After setting up the tent, my husband was extremely pleased to go try out the bar. It was very well stocked and reasonably priced. The toilets and showers were always clean and water was hot. Our boys (10 & 8) both loved the play area which was viewable where ever your pitch was. Thank you for a perfect weekend away. I have already recommended this site to my friends.

Liked: Every where is tidy and well spaced out, the park is fantastic and can been seen from nearly every pitch so the kids can have freedom of safely going off to play. Showers are lovely simple but good washing up area, lots of water points. Good for dogs nice area with nice places in walking distance. Fishing pool are beautiful I really enjoyed an evening stroll around then.
Will definitely be staying again in the future.
Highly recommend.

Liked: Absolutely stunning bell tent, beautifully decorated. We were pleasantly surprised to find an electrical point, kettle, and wood burner effect heater.... And the bits to make tea/coffee available with our fave lotus biccies!! We'll needed after a long journey with kids!!!

The kiddos loved the park located in the centre of the square and they could go off and enjoy themselves while we watched from our bench outside the bell tent... Perfect!!!

The facilities are immaculately clean, and only a short well lit walk across the square, we felt really safe which is so important as two ladies travelling with 2 young kids.

We had a wander around the fishing lake too which was really lovely. Honestly can't fault this place!! The staff were really lovely and friendly too!!

Disliked: Nothing!! We mentioned on check out that there seemed to be a loose connection with the inside fairy lights, which are now being replaced, but this wasn't an issue for us, more just a FYI for the staff :)

Liked: Very spacious pitches, large play park for children, two large well stocked fishing pools open 7-7pm. Would definitely recommend to all ages. Very clean and well maintained site with a cabin shop and trailer bar on site.

Disliked: Quite a small shower block for the size of the field but I personally never had to que so didn’t affect myself too much, though friends said they had to wait a little while to get a cubicle.

Liked: Great value for money! The playground is immaculate and the little shop and bar are a great extra. We hired a fire pit which was brilliant and good value. The shop sells plenty of treats and hot drinks as well as ice lollies.

You need £1 coins for the showers which gives you 10 minutes - we found this to be plenty of time.
We stayed in the top field which meant a bit of a walk to the facilities but we preferred it as we were out of the main noise in the big field (we had toddlers with us). All around you are fields and trees, so you feel like you really are on holiday!
From the campsite there are plenty of places to visit for a day out. We went on the Chase and to Wolsey Bridges. Pubs and cafes within a short drive! Indian, Chip shop and Chinese less than 10 minutes away too!

Disliked: The washing up area was fine but there's only two sinks so you have to queue at busy times. Not really a big problem!

Liked: The location was a great distance to cannock chase and also great to be right by the fish ponds. The staff were very friendly. The pod was a great size and easy to assemble the bed!

Disliked: The pods were very far away from the toilets and showers and feel that 2 showers and 3 toilets isnt enough. We were not made aware of the £1 charge to use the shower so had to get redressed to get money from the pod. Felt there could have been a mini fire pit/bbq included with the pod and wish the pods were a little more secluded from the rest of the campsite and neighboring pod.

Liked: Great campsite. Washing facilities were clean and looked fairly new - note that the showers are £1 for 10 mins. Site manager was very friendly. There’s a small shop in site where you can rent fire pits, and also a mobile bar thats well stocked. We have two young children who spent most of the time on the new play park which is great. Overall a really good campsite.
