Sports Direct Fitness - Lincoln City

First week and really impressed so far. As others have said there are a few maintenance issues like the swimming pool area is a bit gloomy with lights not working, but it doesn't affect what I'm there to do. The classes are great so far and it's a gym and pool that is very easy to brave if you suffer with social anxiety around things like this. The groups are a mixture of all ages and abilities as are the staff which have been super helpful so far, especially the blonde lady on reception. I feel very motivated and despite being the largest lady there I haven't felt self conscious and have been made to feel very welcome and encouraged to succeed with my health journey. I would love it if we could access the building from the rear just to get in quicker, but appreciate the need for everyone to come through/leave via reception.

Been using the free weights room for two years only because its next door to work and in that time there is always something broken. The floor is coming up and is held down with tape. They took the water fountain out for some unknown reason. Dumbbells are missing as well which sucks when you need to step up two weights at a time.

Staff are nice but upkeep is so poor.

worst gym i been to so far, hardly anything there very poorly kept and maintained 1 drinking fountain which you have to go across the other side of the building for. I am a member here and wish i never joined, really need to step up with new aquipment double up on things place another water fountain and get the staff to do some work clean machines down put things away were lazy people don't and have some pride in were they work!!!! hoping when they reopen things will get better not holding my breath.

The staff are lovely but we thought we had cancelled our memberships, which can only be done online...and to our shock we were contacted 3 months later and told that they had no record of it as it didn't go through properly and we had to pay another £140. including a £10 administration charge each...gutted and broke. Make absolutely sure when you cancel that you get an acknowledgement email.

A decent gym, good size and access for the price. Quite old equipment and some stuff kinda needs repair or replacing. Space wise there's not much space for free weights stuff but it's doable. Sometimes have to wait for racks and benches but it's alright.
Sauna doesn't work, not sure if they'll ever fix it... Steam room works though and the pool is good too 👍

Cheap and cheerful. Love the place because it's never over crowded, you can get access to the equipment so it's all good. Would only say a bigger pool or to keep on top of any repairs to equipment but other than that, it's a regular place for me

Quite new to the gym. Everything is clean and organised.
Some of the matts have tares in them so need replacing.
Maybe a bit more interaction from the staff throughout the visit. They seem to just sit at the desk chatting and browsing on their phones... that might be just me being picky though

I went to this gym in Lincoln And the guy who works there did not explain me that I can not leave anytime I want to or any rules , even that i have 14 days to cancel after signing in ! I remember clearly !!! When I went there in 3 weeks I told the same guy I want to cancell and he told me to do it on the computer the cancelation and he again didn't tell me I can't cancel for 12 months ....
Now I'm stuck there I can't cancel the membership, they say debt collectors will come and collect and they will add 10 pounds more for every month if I cancel my direct debit.. Ridiculous rules ..
And manager tells me I should have read the rules myself , what about if I can't read in English, and why people works there doesn't explain , it's their job !
Manager says , the guy told him differently thay he explained me and obviously I'm the liar he means ... amd he says it's like phone shop , when you buy a phone you can't cancel the contract , of course because I buy the phone I bring it home I use it , im not taking the gym home am I ....
It's like I'm in jail can't get out
I'm very disappointed , Do not recommend
