Best gym in Watford that I’ve been to by far. Friendly feeling and plenty of decent equipment as well as classes that push and challenge. Have been doing PT sessions with Matt and he is fantastic and very knowledgeable. Definitely tailors sessions to both what I need but also what I’d like to do too and has been incredible with still getting me through them whilst managing an injury.

From all of the gym group gyms I have visited, the one in Watford is the most friendliest and accommodating. Through a number of initiatives, challenges for members, they maintain a community and ensure members feel part of something much larger. The staff are approachable and always willing to assist. In particular, Matt and Kyle are always going one step beyond for members. They are a real credit to the gym group.

After having a bad experience with another gym in Watford, I signed up to The Gym and that was months ago. The gym is great! Firstly, they keep the gym very clean and I frequently see staff going around checking as well. There is plenty of equipment and even during peak times, I've still managed to get onto the machines.

There is a free app you can download to help speed up entering and exiting the gym and it also helps you keep track of your fitness.

I haven't tried the classes yet, so can't comment but I do know they have a pretty decent and varied schedule of them to choose from.

The parking lot is small and frequently you do have to wait for a spot, but the longest wait time has only ever been about 5 minutes - so don't let it put you off too much.

Waste of time if you're "normal" . Now don't get me wrong , this is a very nice place , great equipment , great staff , and a FANTASTIC cleaning lady who seems to spend all day there bless her . BUT unless you're a college student , jobless , or work from home , this place is a waste of time joining . It is simply oversubscribed and under-equipped for the amount of people going there at peak times . They need at least 10 extra benches upstairs in front of the mirrors at peak times , to deal with the kids who just stand around on them talking , or staring at themselves in the mirror (don't these kids have homes with mirrors in ?!!?) . Spend an extra tenner a month and go to Everyone Active Woodside where they can cope with their membership AND you get unlimited swimming and a sauna and other activities

Very disappointed in the way the gym looks. Haven't been in a while and OMG the dust on every speaker and camera. The cobwebs the windows the walls what's happened in here. I've been here a whole week and nothing has changed. Think though cleaners need the sack. Good News I've a cleaning company if your sick.

At peak times it is virtually impossible to get on anything but attending out of hours and taking advantage of the 24 hour accessibility it's great. Good range of equipment and reasonably clean for a 24 hour gym. However, on multiple ocassions my stuff has gone missing (towels being taken from coat pegs and even my shower gel and razor!?) Cleaning staff, management and trainers don't really care or do anything about it. Other than say "oh we will look out for it" a white towel? Which is disappointing. Many other gym groups also have a "just in case help yourself" basket in changing rooms with useful things like tampons, shampoo, hair bands, cosmetic cotton pads etc, I can see why this one doesn't if there are clearly thieves but It was a nice addition. At peakParking is also pretty limited and times it is virtually impossible to get on anything but attending out of hours and taking advantage of the 24 hour accessibility it's great.
