I used to go to this gym back in the day. It's very clean and well-equipped but overselling their memberships made working out virtually impossible with so many people at once. That's what made me look for an alternative. Once I also encountered a rude and condescending personal trainer who nearly ordered me to give her my space where I had my exercise mat because she was training a client.

Has improved MASSIVELY in the last year!

I’ve been coming to this gym for the last 4 years and tbh I’ve never felt comfortable, it had quite a hostile atmosphere, wasn’t very clean and no one seemed to care.

But in the last year, since we’ve got a new manager - Luke Lanigan, I’ve noticed a lot of positive changes in our gym. It’s very clean, there is more equipment and the staff is really trying to make a difference. I have to say, I’ve never seen anybody clean around the gym or sort out the equipment in the previous years. Not even mentioning cleaning the ventilation and things like that. We’ve asked and they installed a mirror and provided free hygiene products in the changing rooms. There were a lot of different events with giveaways and challenges, that created a friendly atmosphere and connected people.

The Instagram account of the gym was constantly updated and for the first time in 4 years I haven’t missed the info about closing up for a deep clean (and didn’t show up on the day, to find out that it’s closed…).

The staff is very friendly, supportive and always trying to help as much as they can.
I’ve had a few sessions with a PT, that were amazing.

The gym is large and well equipped. Some things go out of use but they are fixed very quickly (and we have plenty other ones anyway).

Very happy and I hope that the quality and the atmosphere will stay the same!

Best gym in the area so far as they have all the machines and military bars you can think of. Waiting time is short on peak time and on off peak times everything is free!!! There are 2 floors and a space for stretching.

My go to gym, I haven’t changed up.
The PT staff there now are really lovely especially Jordan always helps me with my equipment, keeps me motivated, I’ve been going to this gym for ages but never really spoke to someone so having Jordan never fail to say hello is nice! Nick is very funny see him if I go in the mornings. Most of them say hello to me whenever I come in.
Gym is clean too which is nice and set up is great.

The quality of service and facilities has gone down alot in the past few months. I'm fully aware that the cost of living has gone up and is effecting everyone and businesses alike, but to start turning off the air conditioning at peak times and leaving the gym like a sweat box sauna is now a risk to health and safety. Also now they are skin flinting on the blue roll and have stopped supplying it altogether, when it is even more needed now with everyone sweating all over the place due to the lack of air conditioning. Also with covid still being around I think that this cutback during these times, in hygienic facilities is disgraceful especially since they even up the monthly gym fee recently.

Left this gym recently, management changed and too many staff turn overs. The last management made such great progress and the vibe changed when they left - I just felt really uncomfortable. The signs at front threatening to take away memberships with a tally chart is an odd welcome to the gym.
Place gets messy and overcrowded during peak times. Best trainers and classes left.
Constant moving of equipment for new management to make their mark was getting annoying too.
Has a fair amount of equipment but considering size of space not always room to stretch or use mats.

Hi. Just mentioning that the shower are running with cold water. Maybe it is the boiler that need a check, maybe it is a new policy. Any chances, you could bring me up to speed. I love a shower after a workout. Thanks

Over the past few months there has been an obvious problem with leaks and flooding. The floor is constantly wet and there is mould starting to seep through in between mats. I realise this is likely a problem with the building but it would be better to close for a period and get it properly sorted. I'm sure whoever built the building is to blame and hopefully costs can be reclaimed from these dodgy builders.
