Woodlands of Hertford

Just had my fitted wardrobe installed. High quality materials and perfectly fitted. Steve was easy to talk to and gave useful advice on the final decision! Will be using them again for a fitted home office.

When I first met Steve and Pete, I was impressed that despite my various requests being somewhat unusual, they met my spec request with relative ease.
Originally, we engaged Steve to help us accomplish a modern kitchen for our self build project, including a utility room. We were however so impressed with the product and workmanship that we decided to add two bedrooms to the brief and we will look to add two more rooms to the list of Woodlands of Hertford Projects, as and when we can.

Not only did Steve provide us the the best possible use of space, but he had ideas (which were implemented) in being able to use state of the art solutions I.e. A floor extraction hob, to get over certain pieces of structure in place due to the construction of the build.

We couldn’t be happier with the service provided by Woodlands. Their reputation is well deserved and we look forward to dealing with them in the future.

I am rarely inspired enough to leave a review but Woodlands of Hertford fully deserve a 5 star rating. Our new kitchen is a joy to cook and spend time in. We looked at quite a few kitchen designers, including national big names, but decided on Woodlands because the quality and style of their kitchens was excellent. Steve really listened to us when taking the brief and even though some of the features we wanted may not have been the latest on-trend essentials, our dream kitchen has become a reality. The fitter recommended by Woodlands was first-class and took such trouble over the smallest details. We couldn’t be happier.

Just had a kitchen supplied and fitted by Woodlands of Hertford. Owner Steve Chappell was fantastic throughout the whole process helping us to understand the materials and design that really worked in our space.

We required a bespoke design for the island centre piece and his highly skilled master carpenter Pete came up trumps with the perfect solution at a really competitive price.

Installation was undertaken by a master craftsman, Bill Whitfield who works closely with Steve‘s outfit. He was superb throughout, worked with us to finalise all finishing and his attention to detail and quality of work are second to none. So clean and tidy in his work and helpful with last minute additions and mods.

We decided to update our kitchen in September (2022) after first considering just replacing doors. Our existing kitchen had been supplied by Woodland back in 1999 and there was very little wrong with it. It was designed and built with several bespoke units and a table top.

After first checking out the options available on the high street we approached Woodland again only hesitating because we thought the price might be prohibitive. We had an idea for a design but we couldn't find the non standard units required. Woodland were able to match our quotes and with higher quality materials and with the bespoke units.

We placed an order in October for delivery in December. As work progressed preparing for the kitchen we made a couple of changes to our requirements and Woodland were happy to accommodate these.

I had fitted the original kitchen myself and elected to dismantle it, the old units were all snapped up on FB which will help fund the new floor now required.

Woodland suggested a fitting company and I was happy to let them do the work. The units were delivered on schedule and the installation was carried out without issue and in good time. I was extremely pleased with their workmanship.

Overall we are congratulating ourselves on choosing Woodland over the high street alternatives and we love our new kitchen, it could not be better.

Woodlands of Hertford installed a Wardrobe in our previous house some 25 years ago.It still looks exceptional so having recently move we arranged for Steve to install 2 wardrobes in our new house.
Nothing was too much trouble for Steve or for Mark the fitter and we are delight with the end result.

Woodlands of Hertford have been brilliant. They designed and installed our bespoke kitchen and Steve was so patient in getting the layout right and provided great advice. The kitchen looks fantastic and the modern style and layout was exactly what we were after. The quality of the units and installation was excellent.
Woodlands also designed and installed all our wardrobes, dressing tables and bedside tables and again the service was fantastic.
The overall price was so competitive against other firms and yet the quality far exceeded the materials used by the other companies. The fact Woodland’s of Hertford design and manufacture the products was also a real positive for us in terms of quality and also cost! Thank you.

We engaged Woodlands of Hertford for the second time in just over twelve months to plan and install wardrobe / storage units incorporating a desk, in our spare bedroom, which is used as an office / guest room. Plans were discussed and suggestions made to get the maximum benefit from the space available. The end result is most pleasing and the improvement in space available is excellent. The units are good quality and Mark, the fitter did a very professional job, working efficiently and neatly over two days. Excellent service and guidance from Steve in the office was also provided.
