Ben rebuilt the dodgy steps up to our loft extension to make a proper staircase. I worried the steps shouldn't creak and they don't! Under-stair storage has a cubby-hole for the dogs to sleep, made to measure. Really pleased with the design, well built. Good price. Ben's very helpful and can-do.

Ben made these stunning built-in floor-to-ceiling wardrobes for our Victorian terraced house in London.
What an extraordinary craftsman this chap is. You can tell from the images but the job itself wasn't easy at all.
The age of the property means that the walls are not remotely straight, but Ben managed to fit the cupboards in so as you wouldn't even notice.
The end product is beautiful both inside and outside, with great quality materials and lovely details such as door soft closers that we hadn't even thought we might need but that add an extra degree of quality and pleasure.
As a supplier, Ben is considerate, honest and extremely passionate about what he does. He's also a really funny guy and a joy to have around.
Work was carried out efficiently and cleanly and the invoiced amount matched the quotation value.

I have piles of books everywhere - and my single bookcase is overflowing. Ben Fearnside came up with a solution, making three attractive bookcases in my lounge, hall and loo. A perfect job and a lovely guy, I highly recommend him!

Ben has made numerous things for me in the past- bookcases and theatre scenery particularly. Every time, he is the proper craftsman. He builds things not only to last, but also he knows that when you live with a piece of furniture for years, you want it to look good every time you walk past it. He has the attention to detail you wish you had yourself! I could not recommend Ben highly enough.

Ben has created a beautiful, bespoke set of bookshelves for me. Not only has his design solved a number of practical storage problems, he has made the most of a quite shallow alcove to create a storage solution that is both adaptable, versatile and visually stunning. The finished piece has completely transformed my living-room. To have all my treasured books attractively displayed in one place, instead of lost in piles round the house, is a joy!

I highly recommend Ben. He has just fitted wardrobes and shelving in my daughters room, an excellent job, and more to come when we add a desk and possibly more shelving in the near future! It wasn’t an easy brief but we honed it down over a few discussions and Ben created a fitted yet flexible solution with adjustable shelves that totally maximised the space. Rather than finalise the final piece - adding the desk and shelves - Ben suggested we could do in two stages, so my daughter could see the designs in reality and then we could finalise the rest. To top it off he’s a lovely chap too!

A loft conversion left us with a very odd shaped landing area. Ben helped us to maximise the use of this residual space, turning it into a walk-in wardrobe / office with a custom made office desk and a combined Tardis like wardrobe and chest of drawers. He even made excellent use of unused space at the end of a hallway by adding a bookcase. Ben's ingenuity, involvement and craftsmanship are second to none and we are extremely happy with his work.
