A really good flight school in a beautiful and historic airport. Flying along the south coast offers breathtaking scenery - such a lucky place to learn to fly! The instructors take their time to get to know every student and make the course both fun and rewarding to learn. For anyone feeling as though pilot training is out of reach, FTA makes it both affordable and achievable.

I have just started training here and I am very impressed by the way the instructors adapt to each individual students learning style. They are helpful in every way, they make sure you understand every detail before moving on, nobody is left behind.

The difference between here and other so called "top schools" such as Oxford and CTC is that this place is not just a pilot factory churning out pilots like on a factory construction line, and showing off that they have employment just because of their links and affiliations to airlines. This place is not an elitist school like Oxford, FTA tutors students on an individual basis and not just some number stamped cash cow.

Getting to ATPL frozen is not an easy road to walk, the instructors remind you of this every day, however they also encourage you by telling you that if you put your heart and soul into this you will reap the rewards. They will provide you will all the tools necessary to succeed if you work your hardest to get there. In the end, like Morpheus in The Matrix they can only show you the door but it is you that must walk through it. In terms of showing you that door however, they show it well, with flashing neon signs and big arrows, you wont miss it, so its just up to you to walk through the door.

The school is personable and at face value looks like and feels like a good deal. The instructors are fantastic. The management of scheduling and fees however is not as it should be. Do not part with any money until you ask every conceivable question then once started, be sure to ask for a full breakdown of where your fee has gone and on what. I'm learning the hard way despite years of preparation. FTA is a good school but like every major decision in life, be careful.

Absolute embarrassment, rang for basic information ( how many flying days on average) was told that sort of info not available, no one willing to help find out, looking to spend in excess of £15,000 , customer service non-existent. Company abroad spent 45 mins on phone answering questions. Guess where I'll be going.

I chose FTA Global as a modular student to carry out the UK CPL/MEP/IR course.

As the course has commenced, to my surprise, I was flying very little. After being there approximately a month, despite discussing my concerns, there was little improvement.

I was very disappointed by what FTA stated as a “full-time” course, consisting of only one flight a day, if that, feeling left as though I have been sold and promised a course, which they can’t deliver efficiently.

Despite discussing these concerns, they did not seem phased by this and no effort was made made to resolve this.

They have a fleet of state of the art aircraft amongst very knowledgeable and professional instructors, however this is hugely let down by organisation and the operations of the school.

FTA should advertise their courses better and aim to deliver and meet students expectations before commencement of training, and aim to take student voices on board, with the view of ensuring students are happy and satisfied with the service they deliver, in which I was not.

They argued that I was not miss-sold the course despite their own terms and conditions stating Students will normally have 2 short slots of about 90 minutes or one longer slot lasting about 4 hours a day for flying, after this was mentioned they since removed it from their terms and conditions.

They then tried to charge me for a stand-by flight I did not attend when they didn’t inform me of it going ahead.

Once I received my final bill after they made the decision to discontinue my training for complaining, they also charged me fuel surcharges on every flight despite not being informed of this.

They are over loaded and well over capacity for what they can handle. They don’t care about students concerns and don’t listen. Upon mentioning my worries regarding how many bookings I was receiving, I was told to get a job! I was penalised for failing an exam and constantly pushed away and filled with excuses despite meetings with management.

Was good experience.
I like the place, and it's close to matro station. But it's hard to find taxi there.

I found that FTA provided me my training in a very good time frame and there was a great environment both professionally and socially.

The advertisement didn’t match their service. False information/advertisement on their website, Hidden charges, un-organised management and appalling instructors to say the least. I sincerely wouldn’t recommend/trust FTA!
