United Carpets And Beds Chorley

We've used United three times because we've been so impressed with service and price. We've had to pull up carpets to do various works such as plastering and have had someone come and refit at good price. The last time we did this we were really disheartened - guy was put out immediately said the room / job was bigger than expected even though we gave them clear info on the phone. We'd just had our skirting fitted and i'd painted it all. After the carpet was refitted the skirting was no longer flush. It had been knocked off and come away from wall completely in areas. It was also all bowing. We are still having problems with it now. Just felt like they could have taken more care in our home, really disappointed.

We came in about an hour before closing on a Sunday! Was greeted by a friendly member of staff within the first minute which is always nice! Callam the assistant that was dealing with us then proceeded to show us around after we briefly described what we wanted. His knowledge and advice helped us decide on what we wanted and I must say now that it's fitted it's absolutely perfect.
Callam didn't hesitate to go above and beyond and sorted out the entire sale within the hour. He is an absolute credit to your team.
All the next steps were explained fully and fitting was perfect. Gary the fitter was brill and carpet was down with speed.

I would not recommend. I truly wish I had gone elsewhere. The worst carpet fitters I have come across.

Went to Chorley store was seen by a very nice gentleman, sat for ages discussing what I specifically wanted, in that I wanted a very small gap either side of stair carpet even gave the measurements, he worked out the size I required from what I had told him I signed and left. The carpet was fitted today ( in hind sight ) I should of checked before fitting but didn’t, the carpet was fitted, it’s way way too small it looks absolutely ridiculous just awful. I went immediately back to the shop only to be seen by a not so nice gentleman ( the same one ) to be told that’s what I signed for and it’s even smaller because of pattern being centralised. Even showed him photos, he said it looks fine. £285 totally wasted. Would not recommend!!!!

Excellent customer service, got ourselves a new carpet at a very reasonable price

Really pleased to have gone here for our new bedroom carpet. Were free to browse the store and have all our questions answered by friendly staff. Very good pricing and service. Was booked in, delivered and fitted within a short time frame too which was also pleasing. Will be our first stop when doing the next room in the house

Brilliant. Wanted my whole bottom floor, (living room and kitchen diner) fitted with laminate. From walking into the shop, they came and measured up within a week, within 2 weeks my floors were fitted! The fitter was very experienced and has done a flawless job, great attention to detail. Couldn’t fault the price either. Would recommend.

Started well but could have been better in the end.

Father and son business - very keen, knowledgable, helpful and friendly.

Couldn't believe it when they said they could measure up the following day and fit three days later! Guess that's the advantage of the shop actually having stock, on the roll.

Local franchised dealer couldn't fit for two months minimum!

Sadly we ended up paying forty quid for gripper-rods that we could have bought online for a fraction of the price. With hindsight we should have checked the proposed price and bought our own.

Had to get the fitter back to address a section of the carpet which hadn't been stretched onto the gripper rods - not what one expects from an experienced fitter.

The guy the shop sent out to address the issue had it sorted in ten minutes though.

Would have been nice, under the circumstances, if we'd received a call from the shop to check that everything was as it should be - but that never happened.

I would use this place again as there were a lot of positives - but if I needed gripper rods again I'd ask that the fee more closely reflect their true value, or buy my own.
