brilliant shop, staff very knowledgeable and willing to help, no pressure tactics, and excellent prices when compared to the national chains. Lots of off-cuts and end-of-rolls in store, many perfectly large enough to adequately carpet rooms in a standard/typical sized local house. We visited by chance as we were passing by on our way to a large carpet chain store, we were so impressed we never continued our journey beyond this shop. Our carpet is now installed and we love it. It was a 4x2.5m end of roll and we saved a fortune! Would recommend to all, and will certainly go back here before anywhere else as/when I need a new carpet.

Very poor and I certainly would NEVER use them again or recommend them!

Carpet fitters made numerous errors with my last two orders, i.e. Trimmed too much off my lovely seasoned pitch-pine door resulting in a replacement; Stairs & landing carpet was recently laid incorrectly with the weave running crooked and my newly painted walls were marked, which I had to repaint. Then, after they identifying what should have been suitable door strips (second attempt as samples were not true to colour) the carpenter who came to fit them informed me that they were too wide and one of them was not even suitable for the floor surfaces. This all took up so much time and went on for weeks, having to rearrange my work and personal commitments to accommodate these numerous additional home visit appointments for World Wide Carpet to sort out their mistakes. They did replace the carpet after I proved that it was not the walls etc, but then they failed to meet their commitment to complete my order by giving me a refund for the door strips and leaving me with horrible temporary ones.

Very good bought carpet on impulse wasn't taken advantage of given good advice on carpet at a good price. Listened to my requirements and came up with an answer. Second time I've bought a carpet here. Clear pricing and I see them as good value.

I’m Currently working on a defender project and needed some hard wearing carpet so I thought I would give these guys a call. Dan was very friendly and helped me all the way very helpful in all aspects and a great price would definitely recommend and return when I need some more

The first carpet went well, except the fitting of a door bar, I asked for a z bar but got a overlapping one with shape edges stick up, a hazard in a child's room.
I was hoping to correct this on the next room to purchase, being a smaller size.
However they tried to sell me one bigger than I needed off the shelf, I'm surprised they didn't just order a smaller one, which I have since done.
Maybe couldn't be bothered due to the size of the sale, so I wouldn't bother going back, quite arkward, which was a shame as we have other rentals we needed replaced but wouldn't go back. Maybe lacking abit on return customers.

i needed to repair two small 10cm holes in my recently laid lino (not laid by worldwide carpets). so i needed ideally an offcut. Andy was brilliant. he ordered a sample book of the brand and type in question with which i was able to do my repair without buying a meter. Andy wouldn't accept payment. Thanks Andy. Cheers!

I needed carpets for 2 bedrooms and 2 different stairs. The supply and fit had to be within a specific timeline of 2 weeks due to me going away. A neighbour had mentioned Worldwide carpets so I decided to try them. An appointment was made via a phone call and the Estimator turned up as promised on the day/date agreed. He measured up and was very thorough and professional. I informed him at this point that I had nearly 2 rolls of underlay that I would want used on the job. A thi point he informed me that some of the underlay was a different thickness being 11mm underlay and the majority being 10mm.
The solution he offered was to use the 11mm on the stairs and the 10mm would do one bedroom. This would mean we would still need to order more underlay to finish the job.
I was totally happy with this arrangement.
I was given a quote over the phone but offered no specifics and at no point was it bought to my attention that their would be any deviation from our discussion. A price was agreed for the work to be carried out.
10 days later I was starting to get concerned due to no one contacting me for fit dates so I rang the office. They rang me back up and a day was arranged for that week.
The fitters arrived and were shown the rooms and the location of the underlay. I then noticed that the underlay supplied was not 10mm dense under which I expected to be provided to give as much soundproofing and comfort as possible but a lightweight 8mm. I asked the fitters why the material being used was not matching the quality I already had. The response was I should speak to Eddie. I attempted to contact Eddie via the office 7 times to voice my concerns the person taking my calls always promised that Eddie would contact me. Unfortunately, to date no one has had the courtesy to contact me. What is worse is that I have 8mm underlay laid in both bedrooms that feel awful underfoot with 10mm on my stairs which feels well padded and 1 full roll + of my supplied underlay still sat here unused. I feel very upset with the whole situation and realise that this company is all about profit margins and not about customer service. I paid the agreed amount in full on completion of the job. My only advice is to get a written quote and not just the a price over the phone at least you will be able to see what is actually being supplied. A poor experience that I would not want repeating and feel I cannot recommend a company that deals with customers is this way.
