Overall we were delighted with the whole experience. Minnie who served us was very calm, didn't oversell and really went out of her way to ensure we were getting what we needed. She was also fantastic with our daughter who is three and we really appreciated that, and made the process of choosing and trying out the carpets much easier.
The fitters they used were prompt and hard working, and we are really happy with the result. The carpet looks and feels great, and were excellent value for money. Would have no hesitation in recommending Tapi.
On top of that I then had to chase them constantly calling them to try to get my carpet arranged to be delivered.
They didnt not try at all to help even knowing the difficult situation I was in (and have left me in).
I put a £1700 deposit down on some flooring I was pretty sure I had made a decision on after visiting the store a couple of times. After doing some research at home I realised that the samples looked quite different to when they are laid and decided they weren't right for me.
I rang up to cancel and get my deposit back and the receptionist said I had to wait to speak to the manager first before she could authorise it, which I was happy to do.
Then 10 minutes later I got a phone call from the original sales consultant who, for 25 minutes, begged me not to cancel my order. It started with 'could you please not cancel I'm happy for you to take a packet of laminate home for you to try in your house.' Which was all fine however by this point I was pretty confident I didn't like the laminate and was willing to try something else until it turned into 'How could you do this? We've spent so much time together.'
I then said I'd really just like my money back so I could make my decision in my own time and was told she had already changed it from a deposit to a sales order so I could no longer get my money back. I obviously wasn't happy with this and said I hadn't agreed to this and that's why I put it down as a deposit. She said 'sorry but it's gone through now, there isn't anything I can do.'
I then spoke to the manager and was able to get my money back without too much fuss however was so put off I no longer wanted to shop there.
Also, after measuring our house which is a new build (we gave them the exact measurements already) they tried to say there was a huge discrepancy in the measurements (there wasn't) and tried go charge us another £1000 on top. They 'kindly' discounted it back down to the original quote, after a lot of pushback from us, + £80 and that was another thing that got held against us. 'We've taken nearly £1000 off for you'.
I wasn't going to write a review until I got a voicemail the other day from the sales consultant saying she wanted to 'catch up' which clearly shows she doesn't realise how bad it was trying to say I couldn't get my money back and forcing me to buy products I'd only put a deposit down for.
It's such a shame as originally everybody was so so helpful, I couldn't fault them and recommended them to everyone until they completely took advantage probably hoping I wasn't very clued up and just agreed for them to take my money.
Please stop trying to contact me 3 months later. I don't think I've ever left a bad review for anywhere in my life until now.
P.S. The link to win £500 didn't work for me - but leaving a review anyway as I was so impressed!
