We got a good deal and were given a covenient Saturday fitting time.
Yesterday (2/2/19) our new carpet was fitted by two really nice lads , very neatly and quickly with minimum fuss.
This is the second time we've used United Carpets and won't be the last!
Craig was spot on with everything from start to finish and I have to say went the extra mile to help as we have a child who we need to isolate during COVID - 19 we felt confident that we weren't put at any extra risk so to everyone thank you from us :)
Paid £1690 in total for a carpet.
We had 2 visits on site where carpet was going to be fitted by United carpets to dicuss prep work.
It was agreed that the fitter Craig was supposed to chalk out the area that we agreed to pull up. He never turned up to chalk the area. So therefore, we were unable to prep anything as we didnt know how much carpet needed to come up.
This prep area was supposed to be done prior to the carpet being fitted.
I was told a week before carpet would arrive on the Tuesday to be fitted that same week before the weekend. When carpet was delivered to the shop on Tuesday, they called me and told me that there was no fitter available till week later. I told them to refund my money if they couldn't fit and surprise surprise they found a fitter that could fit on the following day.
Fitter turns up, looks at the job and said I cannot do this alone. I told him that I did tell United carpets to tell you how big of a job. He said they didn't say it was this big.
We did all the prep work whilst he stayed out of the way. Job took 6 hours in total that's because there was 5 of us to help.
Stay well away from this company. I've had many carpets and flooring done and never have I experienced this kind of customer service. Very very disappointed to say the least!
I have ordered flooring from them and am awaiting fitting. If that part of the service is as good as the showroom then I will increase my star rating immediately.
The place was filthy and looked like it hadn't bee cleaned or vacuumed in months. Not only that but the carpet barrow was on end at the end of a rack making it difficult to get round and the cutting bar on the floor in the middle of the Isle. That was an accident waiting to happen. The only saving grace was the young salesman who was polite.
Poor effort.
Bed was delivered, but faulty bed and installation. There's one screw missing and one entire support bar with screws missing as well.
So disappointed, have emailed customer service. It's just annoying that if you've paid someone to deliver and install you'd think they'd notice these faults and flag it.
