Tapi Carpets & Floors

Having spent thousands of pounds for Tapi Carpets to fit luxury vinyl flooring, I am left needing the entire downstairs of my house, and bathroom re-laying due to the incredibly poor job they carried out and have experienced an immensely stressful and completely unsatisfactory 3 months. The pictures attached show the current state of the flooring, which they are yet to remedy. These are just a few examples of what they deemed acceptable.

They have spent 3 months wasting my time, and along the way have managed to lose the front door key, damage walls and skirting boards, and having cancelled my plans on weekends not turned up when promised. Their customer service department then ignored calls and their regional manager ignored emails of complaint. It is by far the worst customer experience I have witnessed.

They are not able to organise a different fitter to arrive until January, so this will culminate in nearly 4 months of not completing a job they are paid a significant amount of money for. They are not willing to compensate for all my time taken off work accordingly because as I have been told- they are already incurring cost by paying to relay the floor. Something I should apparently be grateful for?

BUYER BEWARE- Tapi Carpets believe waiting four months and wasting your time is acceptable. They also feel that compensating to have your locks changed and having your house redecorated is something you should be delighted with. Don’t expect a reply or any haste in correcting any issues.

I do not recommend Tapi Carpets. I go out my way to warn others of their work and attitude.

This has now had to be referred on to the Furniture Ombudsman.

Professional, warm, friendly staff, excellent service in store. I didn't take advantage of the free home visit service which caused a few problems because I had made an error in my measurements. This could have been a disaster but the carpet fitters were amazing, they went above and beyond with fabulous results. I am so pleased and I cannot praise them enough. Definitely recommend.

Went in to view carpets for our bedroom. Compared to carpet right very good competitive prices and wide selection of carpets of all levels of quality and prices. Made to feel welcome was offered a coffee and had a lovely comfortable seating area to sit in when going through our order. Manager was extremely helpful and friendly. Would recommend this store to anyone.

Went in about a month ago, picked a carpet, the team were really helpful and friendly. We had the measurements taken and then when we were ready we booked in a fitting date. Now they have been fitted we are very happy with the end result. The fitters were courteous and friendly did a fantastic job and cleaned up after. I’m not entirely satisfied with the £35 they charge for the delivery and care package, seems a bit steep. But overall I feel like the service received combined with the overall price offered value for money. I would recommend and use them again.

The gentleman who served us was very helpful. Very polite and I am ecstatic with the customer service here. I would highly recommend Tapi Bridgend. 5 star rating all the way!

We went with Tapi Bridgend for carpet to our living room as the laminate we had down was too dark and cold for the feel of the room.

We'd previously had a bad experience with a different company (for the sake of blessed anonymity we'll call them Karpet Wright) however our experience with Tapi couldn't be further from this. From going in store and choosing the carpet we wanted, to the day of having it fitted, the processes were incredibly smooth and easy.

Kevin who served us was knowledgeable, friendly and explained everything in no uncertain terms and we left knowing exactly what to expect from the point of delivery to fitting. The whole team were very friendly and I felt that any issues I may have had could be rectified and dealt with quickly and professionally.

I wouldn't hesitate to return to Tapi Bridgend for flooring in the future and will gladly make a point of recommending them :)

Excellent range of flooring to choose from. Staff helpful, attentive & patient. Borrowed a number of samples to take home to try in situ. Home measuring service is a must & Adrian was efficient & carried a huge range of samples in his vehicle. Store well laid out & always smells fresh! Highly recommend David, Len & Adrian - a great team. Highly recommend the store, staff & entire experience of sourcing flooring for our newly renovated home.

Excellent service from home visit telephone calls to.arrange delivery and fitting I could not fault the Tapi team. Each member of staff I dealt with were friendly professional, knowledgable and skilled. Would highly recommend and definitely use again.
