The Flower House

A delicious floral feast for the eyes to gaze on. The visual aesthetics and aromas of the bouquet were simply stunning; chic vintage hues, luscious tones and textures in a beautifully sculpted composition for a doorstep delivery. When words can’t say it, these flowers certainly do.

Shelley clearly has a great eye and unique talent for what she does, and her business is one that goes above and beyond to deliver, even in challenging circumstances.

It has been a pleasure to see true artistry at work, I would not hesitate for a moment to highly recommend the flower house.

Shelley did our wedding flowers in March and she was just incredible. We gave her a brief of spring flowers and make it look pretty, and boy oh boy did she smash that for us! Shelley also made the flowers work really hard for us, so they could be used at different times throughout our day. Her creativity and vision was worth every penny, and some of her ideas hadn’t ever been seen before at the venue (which much be tricky as they do a lot of weddings!) Shelley is lovely, talented, passionate, creative and an all round good egg. You definitely get what you pay for and I’m so so glad we choose to use The Flower House. Have a chat with her, you won’t regret it!

Amazing amazing! I bought flowers for a friend's birthday and Shelley's arrangement massively impressed! Shelley even managed to find sunflowers and mixed them in - hugely recommend. I phoned Shelley the day before collection, as giving a day's notice is something any florist would appreciate.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Unfortunately, in contrast to all the other reviews, I received an appalling level of service from Shelley at The Flower House.

I placed an order two weeks in advance for some flowers to be delivered on a specific day and date. Paid the extra for this and rang Shelley to confirm the specific delivery date after placing the order. One week before the specified delivery date I rang again just to confirm everything was in order and Shelley confirmed it was.

Fast forward to the day of delivery nothing arrived. I contacted Shelley the following day having given it a full 24 hours, querying as to where the delivery was. She told me that it had been delivered and to check with the recipient. I did, they hadn’t received it. When discussing the issue on the phone with her it came to light she had mixed up my order with another customer’s order who shared the same first name as me, and they were the ones who had their order delivered. As the occasion for the flowers had passed I politely requested a refund. At this point she abruptly and rudely said she couldn’t guarantee a specific day of delivery and it would be a “date range”, anytime before or after. Had she informed me of this in previous communication I would have accepted this as the expectation would be set. However, she didn’t. I then again politely requested a refund to end and walk away from this awful experience, which she begrudgingly did.

I thought everything was resolved and that was the end of it, until a few days later I received an incredibly rude email accusing me of theft and deception. Shelley was claiming the flowers had been delivered and I had deceptively requested a refund. This wasn’t the case having double checked with the recipient (worth noting by now any surprise flower gift was ruined). I then politely responded informing her of this and asked her to double check it wasn’t a mistake her end. She then contacted me to say that as I had cancelled my order and refunded me she had instead sold the flowers in store that same day. Clearly an administration error.

While it was a simple mistake on her part, it’s clear she didn’t think to double check what had happened her end before rudely accusing one of her customers of theft.

No doubt Shelley produces wonderful flower arrangements and is perfectly nice when things go right. However, perhaps her approach when customers who she believes have wronged her may be improved somewhat, especially when the evidence behind the belief hasn’t been thoroughly checked.

It was so lovely and easy to work with Shelley. Even though we never got to meet IRL before our ceremony: she made sure that our needs were understood and met beforehand. She set up the beautiful arrangement at our venue before we arrived and handled everything very gracefully. Would definitely love to work with The Flower House again.

Live in Kent, wanted to send a hearty bouquet/box to a colleague for a significant birthday who lives in Norwich. Did a quick bit of research and liked the look of The Flower House's website and shop front imagery.

Happy to say that our recipient was really chuffed with The Flower House's arrangement and the attached image is genuine. I made a quick email communication with The Flower House, a couple of days later to check on delivery and Shelley confirmed delivery had been successful late that day. I found Shelley really attentive and caring.

I cannot begin to express how happy we were with our wedding flowers from Shelley. From the moment I met her she was so helpful and flexible particularly due to changes of dates due to cover postponements. She listened to everything I was looking for and created it better than I ever imagined. She answered any and every question I had right up until the wedding day and the flowers were delivered on time and the bouquets, top table piece and button holes were just beautiful!

Shelley was so incredibly helpful with our last minute order for funeral flowers - we needed three arrangements and she created the below which were all so beautiful but also so unique. Shelley got the brief perfectly, better than asked for to be honest. Would highly recommend.
