Instead telling me after 3 weeks that they had indeed got my covers but were delayed due to the snow. When I unwrapped the parcel and noticed my covers missing I immediately rang Mark Harris who told me there had been a cock up but if I posted the foam back at my expense they would complete the order. It is impossible to cut the foam to these covers without seeing and measuring them first (also stated on their site) which is what Mark Harris told me to secure my custom: However now he told me that it didn't matter. and would post my covers back so that I could fit them myself.
I told Mr Harris to collect the foam at his expense as it was his cock up but he arrogantly refused. Many emails later and him refusing to refund me the fitting cost for the 'locked in service', I was having to threaten with police if he didn't post my covers back. Thankfully they are now in my possession and heyho, they do not fit the foam which was cut (given rough measurements by myself during the initial conversation.)
The standard of work is appalling, I have taken many photographs as the Dacron isn't glued nor cut to fit the foam, netting is ripped and the cushions have a void where they should be filled. The images do not emphasize sadly how bad they are but I will let you all decide for yourselves.They were a nightmare getting them into the covers and they just tore apart. I am now seeking compensation via the civil route. My partner is disabled and has been unable to sit downstairs due to the delays but no empathy whatsoever from the Foam Shop and Mr Harris
My advice to anyone considering the Foam Shop THINK AGAIN
Don’t believe everything negative you read. Easier to post negative than positive. Will be ordering again in future. Delighted!
Update: I ordered a custom made mattress with all the bells and whistles on the 4th of Feb and delivery is scheduled for the 16th of Feb - very impressed.
Hopefully the product will be equally as convincing :)
Placed an order for a customised window cushion in April 21, clear details of requirement were provided as per companies request... I even went the extra mile by providing them with a detailed drawing clearly demonstrating shape and measurements accuratley...Customer service at the start was great in order to get the order and payment upfront.
After that the company went cold with no contact or update regarding the order even when it heavily surpassed its 2 month leadtime. I had to constantly chase them and was given a whole load of excuses and empty promises. I Finally recieved an order 4 months later however it was completely incorrect... Totally made to the wrong shape and size... I notified company striaght away to which they then arranged to get collected, however only when they received it back they asked for me to make a template without which they wouldn't be able to proceed any further.. All this would have to be done in my own time and cost. I rightly refused given all the inconvenience and asked for my money back which the company profusely refused as 'all orders are final as per contract terms'. They promised they would expediently rectify.
I was fuming as they had total disregard for thier wrongdoing and appalling attitude. I had no choice to make a template however the materials and postage would have to be covered by them as I wasn't getting my money no matter what and how much I tried.
It took another 5 months of me constantly chasing and battling with them for my order... When I finally recieved it, it was still wrong! The cover was too short and bent for the cushion. After disputing again with clear proof, the company still refused to take responsibility and refused to refund me. They had the audacity to say that's its an issue on my part and that I had not dressed it properly. I'm sorry but you can only put a cover on one way.
I had enough and didn't want to deal with such an incompetent, unprofessional and bullish company.Upon this my bank finally got my money back however it was an uneccassary long claims process.
Worst company I've ever dealt with... Atrocious customer service and attitude, total incompetence, poor quality product and workmanship. My advice go elsewhere even if you have to pay that little extra.
