Space for about eight or ten cars to park a short and easy stroll from Belas Knap through woodland and across meadows with great views of Winchcombe and Sudeley Castle.

An ancient burial chamber, fully restored some years ago , hence in excellent condition .
Beautiful peaceful place , great views on a clear day .
Limited side of the road / small ' lay - by ' for parking.
A 1/4 of a mile walk firstly through the wood ( can be a bit slippery & muddy when wet ) & then around a field & through another small wood . All uphill , with two Stiles & a gate so not for pushchairs etc .
The signs there ask people not to walk on top & yet some people STILL DO !!! 🙄 respect history & make sure future generations still have it intact .

What a lovely hike! We actually started the circular walk from a different angle so actually ended it around here, but either way, it was a lot of fun for us group of friends. The neolithic grave site wasn't as grave-yardy as I expected, but the history is fantastic. You might feel a bit underwhelmed by the tiny grass hill under which the people are buried, but try to go on top And take it all in - the lovely weather (if you are lucky), the views, the nature, the history. Just go there, exercise, do the walk!

Parking at the side of the road in mud laybys. A fairly long walk up a hill through trees, through a kissing gate and around the perimeter of a field, again climbing up a fairly steep hill. Through another kissing gate and along a track until you reach a stone style and you've arrived. It's a walk of approx 3/4 of a mile and may be difficult if you have a heart condition or a disability that inhibits walking.
The Longbarrow itself has an explanation dusplay board by the style. It is a conical shape with the entrances visible but no entry within is possible. Remarkable site considering its approx 5,500 years old .
