Car park (The Green)

The Edlesbourgh Green carpark on Pebblemoor road with its entrance opposite NMJ Service Centre. It has a 6' 6" (2 m) height limit. It has a proper hardstanding blacktop surface, with white painted marked bays. It's surrounded by a raised earth bund time prevent users driving onto the Green itself. It's located at the village hall end of the village green, so very useful for both venues. The Parish Council notice says you are not meant to park here overnight between the hours of 11pm and 6am.
The lack of 5* rating is due to it having a singular disabled bay directly opposite the entrance which hasn't been positioned nor marked out correctly. The yellow hatched keep clear area only covers one side and the rear of a car. If driving straight into this bay, the driver's door is impeded from being fully opened by that raised earth bund. It's often the driver who is the disabled person in the car. Parish Council please take note.

Amazed that a car park needs a review, but yes a marvelous piece of tarmac upon which you can park your automobile. Looking forward to my return.

Lovely green area football pitches, tennis court and pavilion. Volunteers serve limited hot food and drinks. Cold drinks also available. Small children's park. Nice place for a dog walk.
