W. Uden & Sons Family Funeral Directors Sidcup

Having used Udens for my mums funeral in May I can honestly say that they were very caring and sensitive to our needs. The whole experience was dealt with in a very professional manner. On the day Jack was very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Thank you so much.

Just a short note from my sister and I to say how pleased we were with the way yesterday's service was handled. The level of professionalism exceeded our expectations and we are grateful to all involved for making a difficult day run so smoothly.

Steve managed to hit just the right note between humour and gravitas, and personalised the service by exactly the right measure.

Lee was extremely professional; My mother would have wholeheartedly approved of just the right amount of pomp and ceremony (not to mention Lee being 'easy on the eye', as she would be the first to say).

I sincerely hope I won't be seeing any of you for years to come !

Jason Uden and his family team at W. Uden and Sons (Sidcup) were called to collect my beloved mother's body from the nursing home where she passed away peacefully on 3rd October. They did so respectfully and with great dignity, on a covered stretcher and bowing after she was placed in their van to be transferred to their Chapel of Rest. This simple gesture of respect impressed us that this family firm would take great care of my mother and we were not disappointed.

Due to my location overseas, they were very patient while we took the extra time needed to contact family and set a date for her funeral and cremation. These plans were very nearly upset by the Coroner who had requested an autopsy to clarify the cause of death, but this was delayed unexpectedly to the morning of the funeral. W. Udens very competently managed the situation and liased directly with the coroner's office and the pathologist to ensure the funeral could take place as planned. They even sent a team to the mortuary to wait for my mother to be released to them.

The funeral itself was conducted flawlessly and I am immensely grateful to Spencer who directed the funeral and the team of 4 bearers who carried my mother so carefully and with great dignity.

The costs were agreed in advance and all the paperwork was clear and easy to understand. Jason Uden was extremely flexible and responsive to our needs and was able to accommodate our requests. I cannot thank them enough for ensuring my mother was laid to rest so professionally and with such care taken for both the departed and for the living.

I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone else who is in need of their services.

As a family we cannot Thank Uden for such a lovely funeral for our Mum. A special Thank you to Adam for all his lovely help and support throughout. Also, a special Thank you to Lee, for wearing the Charlton scarf and tie!!! Amazing service and help with every detail. Would highly recommend them to anyone, exceptional throughout. We used W. Udens & Sons Sidcup for my mother's funeral, and I would totally recommend them. From the first meeting with Adam who was extremely helpful, caring and professional to the day of Mum's funeral when Spencer, the team and cars arrived immaculately turned out - the flowers and coffin looked beautiful, and it was all the finishing touches and kindness to myself and my family that made such a difficult day that little bit easier. I would just like to thank Udins for all that they done for my brothers funeral recently. From the first point of call until the service they were first class and made everything so easy at what was a difficult time. Lee in charge on the day was great and ensured that my brother had a great send off. Thank you Adam Jason and Lee for your professionalism.

In the most difficult time of losing my Dad, Uden & Sons went above and beyond to make Dads service so personal - every little touch in place that he would have loved.
But most of all Adam who bent over backwards sideways and any which way he could to make sure we were looked after as a family. The level of care for Dad, our visits to the Chapel and the kind words and reassurance.
Our conductor was Lee and he was so smart and professional - and every made a little posy from each Floral tribute to mum so she could cherish them - Lee even wore a chelsea scarf to match our little ones for their grandad - each child was reassured and looked after by all the Udens boys and nothing was too much - Thank you Adam and Lee and Thank you to everyone at Uden & Sons. I will always be grateful to you all.❤️

I can honestly say that in the most difficult time of losing a loved one( my dad), Uden & Sons went above and beyond to make every step as smooth as possible, nothing was ever to much trouble they made my dads send off so special. It was fit for a king.
But most of all Lee Jackson who led my dad’s funeral I must say he is so smart in appearance and so professional he definitely would have made my dad proud as he did me and my family.
