I would definitely recommend James Funeral service. They helped me to organise my Dad’s funeral with compassion and efficiency. I found them to be accommodating and understanding even when I wanted to change the crematorium location at the last minute. They gave me lots of useful advice and James was always available on the phone to discuss the arrangements. There is so much to organise (the order of service, church service, flowers, coffin, organist, soloist, crematorium etc) and James walked me through it all calmly. The funeral went smoothly and I’m thankful for their support at this very difficult time.

James and his team did a great job to make a sad day go as well as possible. Their customer service is excellent. Every question was answered immediately before and after the funeral. We didn't need to ask them anything on the day - as they just got on with everything smoothly, and with compassion and dignity. They were very kind and efficient and arranged everything exactly as specified. They provide a wonderful service at a difficult time and I would have no hesitation in recommending them wholeheartedly.

Very professional service, but also warm, reassuring and approachable staff who guided us expertly and calmly through the whole process of organising a funeral. I felt full confidence in James Funeral Service from the very start. James and Emma listened to us carefully, patiently and respectfully and they were always quick to respond to our calls and emails when we had questions. Organising a funeral can be overwhelming and stressful, there are many aspects to organise, but they made the process really smooth. I especially liked that they did not overwhelm us with all the decisions we had to make, but guided us calmly step by step , prompting us to make decisions as they were needed so that everything was in place.We visited our relative in their chapel of rest and this was arranged so respectfully and carefully. Although it was sad it was also a very positive experience and we also felt cared for in the way staff communicated with us. On the day itself the funeral went very smoothly and James was very kind and helpful. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

James and his team are an exemplary group of funeral directors. From the very first contact (At 2am on Christmas day!), James offered an assured, calming and professional presence throughout. He helped us through the huge amount of steps required to plan a successful funeral. He responded to queries really quickly, always had an answer and generally worked extremely hard to make it as easy as possible for us.
From the extraction, viewing, right through to the funeral itself, he did not put a foot wrong.
I highly recommend this team of professionals to anyone wanting the perfect sendoff for a loved one.

Until you need to plan a funeral, you've no idea how important the Funeral Directors role is and how much they do for you. James actually managed my fathers funeral 7 years ago and I was so happy with his services that I used James again for my Mother. I can't thank James enough for his smooth execution of the funeral. It was seamless and everything timed to perfection.. the highlight being, stopping outside my mother's carehome with some of the carers and residents waving mum off.. but it was the handling of arrangements which helped lift some of the pressure off at a difficult time.
