From start to finish the funeral was managed with an exemplary level of care and professionalism. Prior to the service Lisa in the office made every effort to make sure we had exactly the service we wanted and gave such useful advice. On the day, Rhian as funeral director brought such dignity to the proceedings and managed everything with sensitivity and we all genuinely felt that she was a credit to her profession.

As a family that knows nothing about funerals, each member of staff we spoke to went above & beyond for us.
They made my family feel so calm & comfortable on the day of the funeral.

After recently losing my beloved Mum, whilst my Husband was in Spain, T J Brown & Sons helped me enormously, until his return. They went over and beyond with their kindness and care.
We cannot fault them at all and made it so much easier for me. Lisa was amazing with her gentle guidance and advice. Chris, one of the Undertakers, was also very gently and kind.
Also their lovely Celebrant, John Thomson, who did Mum's Eulogy, which he did perfectly.
Each and everyone I spoke to was so very kind and extremely caring.
My Husband and I would thoroughly recommend these lovely kind and caring people to anyone who is going through a very sad bereavement.

Rhian and Chris in T J Browns in Brynmawr are amazing, they first helped us in 2019 when my Father Michael Rowland died, they were so helpful and completely unfazed by any odd request we made (anyone who reads my reivew from then will know my Dad wanted a speeding ticket) and the hearse to go as fast as (legally) possible, they ensured that the funeral was as personal to my Dad and for us as they possibly could, now in June 2022 we had the sad death of my Mother, Christine Rowland, and I had to contact them again, I spoke to Rhian who I was amazed remembered me and the family, and again Rhian and Chris did all they could to help us make the funeral as good as we could for Mum, no speeding ticket this time but we had an Elephants Parade and Mum had specifically requested a colourful funeral so we would celebrate her life and not her death and Chris and the others suggested that they wore different colour ties to help with that .

From start to finish you do not feel as if you are dealing with a business, you are entrusting your deceased loved one to part of the family that also cares deeply about not just the family but the deceased family member and they go out of their way to ensure that everything goes ok for you.

In the lead up to the funeral we had telephone calls not just about the service etc but checking we were ok and we were shown the same care and consideration after the funeral and they have been brilliant as well helping with the ashes of Mum and Dad, listening to their wishes and suggesting ways in which they can help us fulfil those wishes.

I must also mention Lisa who very capably stepped in whilst another member of staff was ill and was also amazing.

Five stars are not enough for my review, they are a whole galaxy of stars

I cannot recommend Luke at TJ Brown enough. He was incredible, from the unfortunate day of the death to even following up after the funeral to see how we were. All of our wishes were taken on board and everything was above and beyond expectations. Luke and his team made a difficult time much easier through their kind words, attention to detail and devotion to their line of work. Thank you so much Luke for everything - we feel lucky to have had your services.

First class service during what was such an ordeal for us as a family losing my dad. From start to finish the team have been amazing. The care given to us as a family and the attention to detail making sure everything was perfect for my dads final send off was outstanding. The celebrant that you arranged (John) was also kind and considerate when dealing with us as a family. Dealing with Lisa was a pleasure and also thank you to Christian. He’s been wonderful and such a help throughout everything even almost two weeks after the service. Thank you all so much to all of you

We chose Brown & Sons funeral directors for my mums funeral as the family have known the business for many years.
