Very sadly, my husband passed away early hours of early February. My family phoned Barry and from then on nothing was too much trouble. Very lovely and caring people. I even asked Barry for another piece of music a day and half away from the funeral itself. He told me it's usually 48 hrs notice but he would see what he could do and bless his heart he sorted it for me. The funeral itself, even though very sad, was perfect.Barry and his team were very accomodating and patient! I also have to mention Laura who has been very lovely and caring. 5 stars doesn't seem to be enough. Very good prices for their service. Definitely recommend.

We cannot praise Barry & his team highly enough, definitely worth more than 5 stars.
Losing a Husband/Father is never easy, but from our experience losing one duing the Corona Pandemic is a nightmare, but Barry was a star, we knew he would look after our loved one like one of his own & he did.
Barry was so helpful, understanding & compassionate we just felt in very safe hands from the start, nothing was ever to much trouble.
Thank you Barry & your team you made a very difficult time for us a little easier to deal with.
We will be forever grateful for your amazing service!

We would definitely recommend you to others.

I sadly had to use this service recently. Barry was recommended to me by another family member. They told me that he would give us the funeral we wanted, and was respectful, courteous, kind and helpful.
He more than lived up to this. Due to recent events and the pandemic, it was going to be very difficult for us to have the kind of funeral we wanted.
Having never arranged a funeral before, he took as much time as I needed to advise me on what my options were, and what steps I needed to take myself.
Due to the lockdown, we could not have a church service. He liaised with the church to do a graveside service, and even offered to provide a battery operated CD player to play the hymn. He always had time to go through any worries and queries I had. He also secured the burial plot we wanted, and was an advocate for us in so many other ways. From finding out the latest government guidelines on funerals to advice on the order of service, nothing was too much trouble.
Barry has a lovely, calm manner and I always felt our wishes and needs were important. He ensured us my mum would be treated with dignity and respect, and I had absolute trust in that. He also helped us to personalise the funeral to make it the best it could be under the circumstances.
On the day, it went so well that we found a lot of comfort from it. A day we felt we had been cheated out of became a beautiful tribute to my Mum.
Thank you very much Barry. I would not hesitate to recommend this service.

A massive thank you to Barry who has just assisted with the funeral for my grandmother. I visited the Chapel of rest and Barry spent quite some time with me answering all of my many questions. He is approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly, really respectful. Nothing was too much trouble. Barry and his team were also brilliant on the day of the funeral and I felt reassured that my grandmother had been in very capable hands. Nothing can take away the pain of losing a loved one but Barry certainly helped make a difficult time easier for me. Thank you for your support over the past few weeks, it is very much appreciated

My experience with Wilkinsons has been long standing since they have helped me with funerals for parents and grandparents and recently my brother; six in all, spanning the last 25 years.
Throughout all of this time I have found them to be compassionate, professional, supportive and helpful in every aspect of what is a very stressful and upsetting situation.
I have no hesitation in awarding them five stars.
Thank you Barry and Laura for looking after our family for so many years.

There was no doubt who we were going to choose for my Nan. They were so supportive through the whole process. They gave us the options and let us be the ones that made all decisions. It made the whole thing just that more bearable knowing that she was in safe hands. She was looked after and cared for with such attentiveness.
Highly recommend.

So pleased that we chose Wilkinson’s Funeral Directors when my Mum passed away. Nothing was too much trouble for Barry and his team, at this very difficult time for us as a family. They took all the stress away from us and took care of everything with a caring and very professional attitude. Thank you also for choosing Sue as the celebrant to conduct the Eulogy she captured Mum exactly.
Kind regards, Sue and family
