Dale and Sons Funeral Directors

Professional to the last detail is how I would describe Dale and Sons. Nothing is too much trouble, the service was 5 star. Such caring staff who respected your wishes. I would have no hesitation in recommending Nicky and her team to anyone.

My father's funeral was the first that I have had to arrange. I can’t commend Nicky at Dale & Sons highly enough. She was sympathetic and very helpful in explaining all of our options without being pushy in any way.
Her help and advice on arranging the funeral was excellent and the rest of team were thoroughly professional. Nicky definitely made the whole process as painless as possible from beginning to end.

Our experience with Dale and Sons was poor. The staff we spoke to were dismissive (despite us being extremely polite) and we were repeatedly made to feel that out funeral was less important than others. We were referred by the hospital and thought this might be the cause of the poor service, however, we made it clear we were willing to pay for things but this didn’t change the treatment we received. We were offered no condolences or sympathy at any point, nor were we offered any of the services described on their website.  They refused to help us organise flowers or orders of service, they did not take us through the process of organising a funeral at all. All we were told was the time and date and asked for music choices, despite us repeatedly asking for support through the whole process. In the end we tried to change funeral directors but it was too late, however, another directors were kind enough to explain the process and supported us, gave us contacts for flowers and printers, all of which we should have received from Dale and Sons. Our request to carry in the coffin was ignored and was inside the crematorium when we arrived. This was the darkest moment of our lives and we were not given the guidance or support we assumed we would receive from a funeral directors.

Excellent service throughout. Thank you. Everything was dignified and mum gave dad the service she wanted for him.

Nicky, Claire and the rest of the team at Dale and Sons were excellent. They were professional at all times, and so caring and supportive to our needs on the passing of our beloved Father. They made an extremely difficult process much easier to bare, and they were always on hand to assist us. Thank you so much for taking care of our dad, and for all your help and compassion during this difficult time.

Dale and Sons provide a 5* professional service but they also have a personal touch. They take away all the stress of the organisation of the funeral and are there for you every step of the way. They are flawless and cannot speak highly enough of them!
