Co-op Funeralcare, Peckham

This review is based on quality of work, prices, and response. In June I had the responsibility of planning and caring out the wishes of my mother for her funeral care. Co-op Funeralcare, Peckham was the choice. I was happy with my choice because of the patience exercised by the staff. From the day of collecting to handing off the body at the airport I noticed the professionalism. The quality of work with the people they contract, such as for the program and flowers, was well done. When the body got to the funeral care in Jamaica many of the staff of that business gave commendatory statements of how well the body was prepared. Prices were not outrageous but were on par to what I expected. In dealing with the staff on agreed dates and responding to followup questions | would say it was average. I had to many times followup to my previous request for answers. That said, I was pleased in the end.

When a close family member passed I had no idea what to do or where to start. The Co-op Funeral Care in Peckham helped me every step of the way. Bernie who was my point of contact throughout never once pressured me to use the services of the Co-op nor did she force any particular funeral package either. She was incredibly thoughtful and respectful, providing clear, objective and professional advice and support the entire way. She was also fantastic at communicating with me in a timely manner any updates which needed my attention. At a time where it was easy for me to loose track of things I really appreciated her transparency and openness with the process and organisation.

The funeral service went exactly as planned and I will forever be grateful to the Co-op and to Bernie for helping me organise a fitting send off for my loved one in one of the most vulnerable moments in my life.

A service which I hope no one has to use so early or often, but if you are in need of funeral services and you live in Southwark, look no further.
