Holmes & Family Funeral Directors of Staines and Ashford

After some research, we commissioned Holmes & Family to act as Funeral Directors for our mother who was terminally ill and who wished to have "arrangements in place" before she passed away. Holmes were very professional and caring from the outset. The arrangements were expertly managed by Graham who was always prompt in replying to emails or calls and flexible in accommodating changes in arrangements as the family updated their requirements - including arranging a quiet space for junior family members to decorate the white cardboard coffin! The funeral itself was managed by Oliver who provided excellent guidance to the family on the day. We have no hesitation in recommending Holmes & Family as excellent Funeral Directors.

Holmes & Family have given us platinum standard services. Whenever I’ve spoken to them or been in the office I felt like my family and I were the only thing that mattered to them. Thoughtful and sensitive, absolutely wonderful.

I can’t thank Holmes funerals enough, from the moment I stepped into the funeral home to the time of the funeral itself, myself and my family were treated both compassionately and respectfully. Firstly Maria in the home dealt with everything I required for the funeral and nothing was to much trouble, making sure everything was perfect, then came Oliver and his team in charge of the funeral, they turned up on time, looked so smart and the respect shown was second to none. Just a perfect experience for what is such a sad time. I hope I don’t need to arrange a funeral for a long long time but in the event I do then I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. I'm really glad that I chose Holmes and Family to be our Funeral Director. I wanted an independent provider because I believed that they would offer a more personal service. I wasn't disappointed. Not having planned a funeral before, I needed a lot of guidance. This was given to me by Maria in the Staines office who helped me through the whole process with sympathy, understanding and patience. On the day of my father's funeral Oliver and his colleagues collected us from my mother's house in Staines and Alex drove us to Clandon Wood Natural Burial Ground. This was one of the most emotionally challenging days of my life. Throughout, Oliver and his associates conducted themselves with the utmost professionalism. They treated us with such kindness and care, they couldn't have done more to guide us and make us feel comfortable. We felt completely supported by them. Everything was immaculate, the car we were taken in, the appearance of Oliver and the pallbearers, their manners. The service offered surpassed my expectations and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Oliver was so professional but at the sane time very caring, during a difficult time. We felt looked after and everything ran so smoothly, we couldn’t have asked gif a better service.

I recently lost my wife and throughout the trauma of arranging her funeral I was helped and supported by the really kind and empathetic staff.

I have to make special mention of Maria and Graham in the Staines office who gave me the most important thing that I needed which was their time....they always made me feel that I was in a warm and caring space and that I was the most important person at that moment.

Holmes&Family Funeral Directors are very thorough, easy to work with & very pleasant staff. Emails are dealt with quickly & there is always someone there to take phone calls. The funeral of my sister went very well & all on time. I can thoroughly recommend this excellent company.

I First met the owner of Holmes and Family funeral Directors when he and other staff were painting in the new Ashford branch. Insite of being busy painting etc he took time out just to talk to me and to find me a brochure.. At that time I needed to just get information to give to the staff at The Princess Alice Hospice. I was not aware of how soon this information would be used by myself and my Family. The Consideration, Compassion ,and Help given to us by every member of their staff was so very good. Our main point of contact was Graham. Nothing was too much trouble for him to help us plan my husbands funeral. He also bought the seeds to put into envelopes so everyone could plant some in my husbands memory. I am intending to also pay for ,and plan my own funeral with Grahams help.
