I can highly recommend R Hyde-Chambers for a first class service. Whilst being sensitive and caring to your needs at a difficult time, they are always professional. Nothing is too much trouble and matters are dealt with promptly and with the utmost care and consideration.

When it was hard to think straight, Robin Hyde-Chambers helped me organise the best wake ever for my wonderful husband. The woodland burial the following day was truly spectacular too and I want to say a huge thank you to Robin for his caring approach and "can do" attitude. I would 100% recommend this company if you do need to arrange a funeral

I had got to know Alec over the last few years when he would call in at the office that I was then working in. I was struck by his integrity, honesty and professionalism when talking with him about his work as a Funeral Director and about the background effort that goes into making each funeral service a fitting and memorable individual experience for the bereaved family and friends.

I therefore had absolutely no hesitation in immediately contacting Alec after my 90 year old mother died in hospital, to begin the process of arranging her funeral.

Alec, Vanessa and Andrew Fairweather (an excellent Celebrant suggested by Alec to lead the funeral service) helped me and my family put together a very personal and fitting final celebration of my mum’s life.

All aspects of the funeral ran totally smoothly with Alec on hand to provide any last minute help and advice if required. Restrictions imposed by Covid-19 limited the numbers that could physically attend the funeral but having the service streamed over the internet meant that friends and family in Canada and around the UK could watch the service in real time.

Sorting out a funeral is a really stressful time for anyone but having someone that you can trust and have confidence in working alongside you doesn’t half make the situation feel a whole lot easier to deal with.

We as a family cannot reccomend Alec enough! My nanny had the most amazing send off thanks to Alec, Vanessa and all the team.. Everything from start to finish was dealt with with such care, as a family we felt at ease and knew nanny would be taken of whilst in Alecs care and she was.. Nothing was too much trouble, Alec went above and beyond the call of duty.. Thank you Alec and Vanessa, we are eternally grateful to you both x
