Sofas & Stuff - Harrogate

Really lovely sofas that all the family love. Exactly to spec, no issues at all along the way, from first enquiry to delivery - which was two weeks earlier than expected. All was clear and straightforward, indeed the company people are good communicators and very helpful.

Throughout, I was happy that I was dealing with a company that was honest and reliable and so I did not worry about making the deposit, as sometimes you do.

The sofas are excellent, exactly the right size, style and material as ordered and as described both on the web site and in store. There isn't really anything else to add - I am simply a perfectly satisfied customer.

Travelled to showroom in Harrogate, staff were very friendly and no issues with COVID distancing inside. Showroom had lots of choice for styles and then you had all the different fabrics to choose from. Sofa was guaranteed delivery for Christmas but we actually asked for this to be put back to January when it was delivered as requested. Received a call 7 days before delivery from Milton Keynes workshop telling us delivery date and what would happen. On the day received call from delivery team 1 hr before they came. Team were great, very professional, quick to put feet on and position where we wanted and also took away all the packaging. No moaning about upstairs delivery etc. we have had from other companies.
Love our Abbotsbury sofas in Ross Tenby Navy, really comfortable just like the one in the showroom and look great in the colour fabric we chose and matching navy cushions supplied also.
Cannot fault any dealings we had with this company for this purchase.

The product quality is good and well manufactured. The staff are friendly and accommodating, however their prices are disproportionately high in comparison to other companies selling comparable product. I found a very similar two piece sofa, which was also made in England at Barker and Stonehouse and it was over £1,000 cheaper. We had three sofas to buy, so it was a significant saving. I would have bought from Sofas and Stuff but seems their pricing isn’t competitive.

Since the day of the purchase, the experience was horrible.

When we purchased our Sofas on the 29th of January 2022 in the Harrogate shop the price tag was incorrect, and the sales team tried hiding the tag in front of us as the tag was still on the desk and inputting a higher amount due to a display mistake. We do understand mistake happens, but if the tag has a price, then you must honor the customer with the displayed price. After we raised the issue, the sales team did attempt to keep the price at a higher amount, but then we agreed it wasn’t correct and the price was then kept as the one placed on the tag. That already gave a bad impression.

After months waiting the products, they finally arrived in late May. For our surprise, the sofa started to fade to a horrible colour that we can’t even describe in June. I took the cushions to the shop and provided pictures and since then we are waiting for a solution.

If Sofas and Stuff promote on every platform high-quality and durable sofas, then as a customer we expect nothing less. We do not want to wait a further 5 months for a replacement or wait for updates that take too long. The only thing that we want is a refund for our seater, so we (customers), can find a way to cover the unusual colour that we now see when entering our living room.

The last point to add, your advertisement is deceiving customers and that should stop. At any time of the year, you promote 15% off with phrases like ‘last days’, ‘only this weekend’, etc. We honestly believed your false advertising and quickly purchased the sofas.

Until today the 15% off is still there. You put customers under pressure, and you make false advertising. That is definitely not the correct procedure.

The staff were friendly and helpful as we chose materials and colours. They gave us all the time we needed to compare materials and styles. The staff at Harrogate continued to support us as we waited for delivery. More than pleased with our furniture so much so we made another order. We would highly recommend the Harrogate showroom staff to give honest and useful support.

After researching and checking out a number of sofa companies we visited Sofas and Stuff in Harrogate. It was worth the one and a half hour drive from Newcastle. The staff were so helpful, giving advice when needed. We finally settled on a style of sofa we loved (the Alwinton), and a fabric. There was no pressure from the team to buy there and then. The communication was good and all of our questions answered. They emailed us a quote and we happily placed our order. The team kept us fully informed on how our order was progressing and when we could expect delivery. On the day of delivery the communication was excellent. The delivery men were pleasant, and set up the two sofas in our room. We were delighted. We received a follow up call from head office to ask if we were happy and the Harrogate office also checked in with us. The quality of the sofas shine through. The workmanship is of the highest standard. We are nothing short of thrilled with our purchase. Even the cats approve! Thank you Sofas and Stuff, we highly recommend you.

The service at Harrogate Sofas & Stuff Harrogate was outstanding. Claire helped us choose sofas and provided fantastic recommendations. After purchasing the sofas, the communication was excellent, and they provided regular updates of when the sofas would be arriving. The sofas arrived recently, and we're so happy with the quality and comfort.

We visited the Harrogate store beginning of September 2020 (Covid safe)and met with Claire who was extremely helpful, encouraging us to wander around the showroom, sit on the sofas and chairs, even to put our feet, for the "real at home" experience!
After sitting on a variety of sofas and chairs we made our decision on the two sofas we wanted, but were unsure if the chairs would fit in the room due to their size. Claire assured us we were able to go home, measure up and call back with a final decision.
We spent time with her looking at fabric and colours and made our final decision on two Abbotsbury 2.5 sofas in Lars Shadow. Claire then encouraged us to be a little more adventurous for the chairs and we decided on Lundy Elderberry and Lars Charcoal. A stunning combination!
We arrived home, were unsure of the size of chairs, telephoned Claire and decided we would proceed with the order of the two sofas and review after delivery.
We were asked if we would like our delivery before Christmas, which we declined as we wanted to redecorate the room totally, so asked for a date at the beginning of March 2021.
Sadly, Covid hit again and we didn't have the opportunity to redecorate, so asked for a delay in delivery for the end of March/beginning of April. Yet again, we were accommodated in our wishes.
This morning we received a phone call to say our delivery would be in an hours time. They were delivered by Dhillon and Rich, who were polite, cleared away the packaging and made sure we checked the sofas thoroughly before leaving.
We are delight by our sofas, they look better and feel far more comfortable than I remember, the colour is perfect and we can't wait to decorate the room and visit Harrogate store again to decide on the chairs.

We are looking forward to returning in the very near future.
