Sofa hasn't turned up, our family have nowhere to sit.

After receiving several texts confirming the date of delivery and rearranging family/work commitments and getting our old sofa collected we received a text hours before delivery. The text vaguely said "Part of your delivery is delayed".

After an hour on hold to the number provided to find out what this means we were then told that the the delivery guy arrived at the warehouse to nothing and we might have to wait until AUGUST. We have nowhere for our family to sit.

The website still says it's due for delivery and we've now received a text asking us to book a new delivery, the next available would require us to rearrange our family holiday. But how can we trust this now??

The only customer service person said they would contact us in 48 hours!!!!!!!!

What appalling service, I'd like to just cancel but we can't be without a sofa for long. What are we going to do, get inflatable seats for the kids?

Purchased sofa and armchairs from this shop. Dissatisfied with entire experience. The salesperson wasn't clear and didn't explain things properly. Had to cancel my order and was also charged additional monies. NOT recommended.

‼️‼️ I would not even rate a 1 star but had to for review!
The head office and delivery company they use should be ashamed of the appalling treatment my disabled parents received over many months !!!
In the end I had to get in touch with the CEO to get their refund !!!
Absolute disgrace of a company!!!
Be warned as I would rather sit on the concrete floor than have to use this awful company again !!

Great furniture, solidly built with good warranty for piece of mind. The sales sraff were professional but very friendly, with no high pressure tactics. Surprisingly short lead time of 6 weeks for a new sofa suite.

The shop is good and the staff in store is so helpful and resourceful. The delivery and customer service team is not good as that we receive in store. The delivery team for me was like they have no time and the CS team failed to resolve the item keeping in mind that we are talking about something that we customer liked. Much training needed to CS team and delivery team.

Never bye anything from this company,it’s just bigger mistakes to order sofas from them.The stress to come the sofa I just take tree day off from work,ones coming the wrong one,first time order is been cancelled and finally received whit out one pillow.Sheets happen awry way but not when you pay all the money from four mounts before.And you receive a sofa with out pillows!🙈

I have to say being disappointed with the service from the Watford branch is a underestimate. Absolutely disgusted by the service received specially from the store manager Eric. Me and my wife went into the store on 17th May. Spoke to a guy called Micheal, he showed us around and we picked what we liked and he ordered it for us and we paid in full. He told us it will take 16 weeks for the sofas to arrive. We was a little surprised buy the length of time and just put it down to the pandemic.
Come 9th September the sofas arrived and we unpackaged it and was surprised to see the 2 seater sofa had no arms. When we called customer service they said well on the order it says arm less sofa. Much to our disappointment, Michael ordered the 2 seater as arm less when wanted the 3 and 2 seater to be the same. Michael said to us the 2 seater would be exactly the same as the 3 seater but would come in 2 parts. We are not sofa experts and trusted what he said. Customer service apologized for the error and said they can replace the 2 seater but we have to pay another £90 and would have to wait another 23 weeks for it to arrive.
The fact we waited patiently for 16 weeks and then be told to wait another 23 weeks was a absolute joke. It turns out that Oak Land furniture get the sofas ordered from China. This is something we was not made aware of when we ordered the sofas on the 17th May.
After hearing we have to wait 23 weeks we decided we will return everything and get a full refund. I was so disappointment that I went into the Watford store to complain and see if they would do anything to help us. I met Eric who at no point apologized for the error and kept saying you should have read the paperwork before we signed. He said people make mistakes. I said well this mistake is costing us another 23 weeks. All he said to me was he can take my order again and make sure everything is right this time round. Basically he wanted another sale to go through again as we requested a full refund.

Please do not bother with your time at this branch in Watford. Eric is not a nice person, he showed no empathy towards us. We are so upset that we don't have sofas and may now have sofas till after Christmas thanks to Oakland furniture store in Watford.
Tbh had we known the sofas was coming from China we would have not ordered in the first place.
Customer service on the phone were great, kept apologizing for the mistake. As for the store nothing not one apologize.

Very poor service from Oak Furniture Land. Wanted a refund after our delivery was postponed 3 or 4 times. Told they cannot refund from the store (although they were happy to take our money in store last year) and we would have to phone the help desk. The sales assistant rang the number for us and then basically went back to talk to his colleagues. After 38 minutes of hanging on we gave up. Tried again later on from home and after 47 minutes got through to someone who said the cancellation team would get back to me in 48 working hours. That's not 48 hours that's 6 days based on an 8 hour day! After 7 days and no response we spent another 52 minutes hanging on to get our refund which was going to take another 5 days! We have a few oak furniture land items but sadly will not use them again. The staff are generally nice when you get through but their hands are tied it seems by really poor business practices. We won't be going back I'm sorry to say.
