It must be very frustrating when "nameless", bogus people post fictional bad reviews!

What can I say...

...from the moment that we visited the shop to the completion of our beautiful fitted, sliding wardrobes, the service we received was second to none.

We spoke to Dave and John at the shop and talked through our ideas. They showed us the fantastic and varied range of styles and finishes that were available.

The workmen were very polite and tidy and the final standard of finish was excellent and completed quickly and efficiently.

In short I would certainly recommend Creative Joinery to my friends and relatives.

AWFUL SERVICE

4th time I have used Creative Joinery and the last.

Other installations have been excellent but the level of service provided has been way below standard expected in both product quality and the standard of service.

-Scuffed draw edges requiring further machining to rectify
-Open, visible rough sawn MDF dividing unit requiring additional covering to hide
-Discoloured door track
-¾ tapered gap when doors are closed apparently due to the frames being misaligned
-Chip in one draw front painted over to hide damage and had to be replaced
-Doors fitted too tight and not running smooth
-Shelves not fitted flush and pencil guide marks not removed
-Room, carpet and contents covered (literally) with MDF dust with no ask us to remove or cover them up. Futile attempt to clean up after

Only for the intervention the following day of one of their Senior Fitters (who was excellent) brought in to correct these I would not have paid half the price for this work it was that bad. The owner would not even contemplate a nominal reduction in the price to compensate for all the cleaning required as a gesture of good will. We did get offered a reduction on our next installation!! Clearly the concept of reputational damage in this competitive area is not a concern for the owner of this business, all for a nominal good will gesture of £50.

Lottery on which fitter you get. Standards have dropped significantly. Complete lack of customer care from the main installation manager/owner (not the same polite gent you will meet in the shop)

Advice – avoid.

These guys have just finished a large joinery job at my house,, they came on time, the job was finished on time... all work carried out was of an extremely high standard for a very reasonable and competitive price,,, both joiners were very meticulous and notably good at leaving the job spotless each evening, no need for me to lift a finger..
I would HIGHLY recommend this team,
for price, quality of craftsmanship and the general feeling that I was in good hands!!!!

We have just had sliding door wardrobes fitted and are extremely pleased with the finished product. The doors are sturdy and all the shelving inside was fitted by an excellent joiner who was very professional. A fantastic job and well worth the money.

My Creative Joinery experience:
My house came with fitted wardrobes done by the builder but the two sliding wardrobe doors needed replacing. Traveled 20 miles to Creative Joinery as saw their advert in my local paper and the doors looked nice.
Got to the Chorley shop and saw two wardrobe doors that I liked. Dave the director came up to me and I pointed out the doors I was after, doors only, and asked for a ball park price. He asked how old the house was (1980’s) and then said I would need everything ripping out! Then said do you want them stand alone or fitted. As I didn’t know how much they charged for fitting, and bearing in mind it is just a case of screwing in a top and bottom rail, I said the doors only. He then said we only supply them fitted, which apparently is free, he then said that they don’t do DIY stuff, only high quality furniture for people who drive BMW’s.
I found this incredibly insulting, condescending, rude, arrogant and on top of that his tone was also aggressive. He then blurted out a price of £1,000 for two doors. The doors looked ok but high end they are not and not worth half of that. The shop is a mess of different doors strewn about the shop randomly, poorly fitted and when you open them to see how they move there is rubbish, boxes and off cuts of products behind the doors, hardly a shop that should be charging to the high end market.
I was truly amazed at how rude Dave was, I am a polite person who treats people with regard and respect. Would avoid this place at all costs and shop somewhere with proper friendly, helpful customer service.

Update: I have now found another company that I’ve just purchased made-to-measure sliding wardrobe doors from, similar quality, for almost half the price. Glad in a way now that I did experience the worst customer service in my life, thanks Creative Joinery.

Have just had my daughters bedroom done with fitted wardrobes including lighting. Looks amazing, very pleased with the work and finishing look. Next room already booked in to be complete with sliding doors can’t wait to see the final finish.

Just had creative back to fit out our spare room wardrobes 6 years after fitting our master bedroom out, great service and price as always. The fitters were very polite and tidy and they have done a great job. Its always nice to support a local family business, thanks again.

We have just had our third job done by Creative Joinery and as always the quality of workmanship is top notch. The team that fitted the doors were very professional and also very tidy in what they did. The hardest part of the process was actually designing the doors from the vast selection of types and colours available. We also had matching units and drawers made and these are sturdy and finished to a high level. Its great to be able to work with a local family firm who have the flexibility to provide you with what you want and deliver it on time and on budget. I would give them more than 5 stars if it was possible
