Excellent all round experience and very helpful service. Wonderful selection of leather sample options. From placing order to receiving our chaise longue was same period as originally quoted. Delighted with our sofa, made to optimise the space in our playroom to the max. It took us a while to choose the colour and fabric from the wide selection the Handmade Sofa Company has available and, with helpful advice from Andrew, it was worth it. The colour and look are perfect and just what we wanted. We spend many a happy hour lounging on the sofa. Perfect place to watch the TV in comfort. Our second sofa from the company. We would definitely recommend them.

New sofa and matching armchair arrived today.
Despite a long wait due to supply shortages following the Covid pandemic (order placed December 2021), we are absolutely delighted with the end product. The quality and finish is excellent. Great care has been taken with the detail in the pattern of the fabric to ensure that everything is balanced. Items delivered at appointed time by the couriers and fit perfectly.
Andrew was very attentive and did everything he could to ensure that the items would go through doorways. Property is 600 years old and built to the specifications of the period, very little wriggle room.
A big thanks to everyone involved in the production of the items and I certainly would not hesitate to recommend this company to others.
Can’t wait for the winter evenings now we have something really comfortable to relax on.

Can't recommend The Handmade Sofa Company highly enough. We wanted a nice looking sofa with an extra high back so that Frank could fall asleep on it. it was brilliant to be able to choose any fabric I wanted and Andrew was very helpful in sending samples and helping me look through his many books of samples. It didn't matter how long it took, which was three months. I added in a sofa bed mechanism after our initial order, which was no problem for Andrew. We had to wait for a while for our sofa, due to Brexit, Covid, Suez, you name it, but it was well worth the wait. And we think our sofa was really good value for money. It arrived in two pieces, which the delivery men put together. I also got all the offcuts of material, which meant I could recover some dining chairs for free. Frank's been asleep on the sofa ever since it arrived. Guests have said how comfortable the sofa bed is too. A winner all round. Thank you so much.

Friendly service combined with great expertise, and at a very reasonable cost. Delighted to be able to choose every measurement and detail and also to use a fabric I had already seen online elsewhere. The workmanship is fantastic, and the delivery men are experts in negotiating doorways. We had a 10-month wait but in these troubled times it was not the company's fault, so I can't take any stars away for that!

From helping us choosing the right sofa style and choice of leather through to delivery (before Christmas as was promised) we received an excellent service and are very happy with the Chesterfield sofa we purchased. The showroom is a bit off the beaten track but if your unsure of the style or material that would suit you best its definitely worth a visit and Andrew was so accommodating arranging an appointment that worked for us and was both welcoming and helpful during our visit.Would definitely buy again from Andrew and the Handmade Sofa Company - so much better than the service received from high street stores and the delivery team were also great. We hope to enjoy this quality sofa for many years to come.

From my first e-mail to my conversations with Andrew I couldn’t of asked for a better service. Andrew was very polite & informative. I was kept up to date along the way and the sofa was definitely worth waiting for.
You can see the craftsmanship that has gone into making the sofa & can see that the team have many years of experience. The sofa is very comfortable which I was a little worried about as I wasn’t able to test it out first.
I have to mention the delivery men as well as they were outstanding.
Unfortunately I was not in when Adam wanted to deliver my amazing sofa so I said I’d call him back as needed to check if my dad would house sit. Adam kept my delivery slot for me while I checked & on the day of delivery went above & beyond. I was amazed to have a Saturday delivery & my dad was so impressed with the grammar on the text message that he was sent with his 1 hour time slot & how careful & quick they were after a long journey from Devon that he left them a large tip.
This all happened at the beginning of September & I still can’t quit believe I own such a work of art. I can’t stop admiring it.
I have taken great delight in making sure everyone knows where I purchased my sofa from & I would recommend The Handmade Sofa Company to anyone.

I took delivery of my two seater Salinger sofa with matching footstool in mid October. Arrival was delayed by various factors outside the control of the Handmade Sofa Company & I was kept updated about progress. Throughout the process Andrew has been extremely helpful, patient & informative. He gave excellent advice about choice of leather for upholstery, size of sofa & footstool & answered all my queries, including those I had after arrival of the sofa.
