My parents had some crockery and a table and chairs to re home so phoned here for collection. Lovely staff both on phone and the 3 men who collected items. Very worthy cause will definitely donate here in future instead of the heart foundation. Very happy with our experience dealing with this charity.

Damaged my cooker - dent and gouges down the side of it, they said nothing at the time( which annoyed me as much as the damage) and it was only after they left the damage was found. I donated the most of the contents of a bungalow following my mothers death, because she wanted it to go to a charity to help someone out, my reward was a badly damaged cooker which I was leaving for the incoming tenant but will now have to bin as I don't know it's safe now and I'm not paying for it to be repaired/tested. Two teenagers who had no idea how to move furniture, for example they stood there scratching their heads as the table was wider than the door frame and had to be told to tip it on it's side to get through, were meant to be supervised by the more experienced volunteer but he spent most of the time loading the van. They were told to move the cooker out so they could lift the fridge freezer to avoid tearing the vinyl flooring I'm not sure what they did to put a dent and gouges down the side of my 10 month old cooker. They also torn the vinyl but I was aware that it would probably rip and the new tenants would likely replace it so was not bothered. If you need stuff collecting from your home think twice about using this charity they are volunteers with apparently no training and no supervision so you could end up like me with damage to your property.

I would advise caution when buying electrical goods from here. A lamp I purchased from here just surged and the bulb exploded in my partners' face. She's lucky to not have glass in her eyes.

I made the error of chdcking whether the good was tested and certified. Were it another appliance, it could have been a fire hazard.

Useless,, Offered them two really good clean divan memory foam double beds.Three times they were going to collect and I Stayed home from work for them, on the third occasion they called me and said we are coming to collect some table & chairs I said "no it's 2 beds. oh they said we don't want them" They had emails from me and they agreed they wanted them, so thanks for wasting my time taking days of work . it seems they really don't know what they are doing or want! What a shower, find a another charity if that's what this lot is!

I suspect underhand activities regarding charges. On the phone I was told the charge would be £100 this was because they had to pay to dispose of settee's. On arrival the driver said it would be £60 more. I asked for a receipt, after some time in his van the driver gave me a handwritten scribble on a tatty piece of paper extracted from a ring, no official heading. This was not a proper business transaction.

Booked a collection to donate a corner sofa and a wardrobe, waited in all day and they didn't turn up! They gave a poor excuse with no apologies! Would not recommend them at all, use British Heart Foundation instead.

Staff are always very helpful. I've bought lots of items over the years from here. Always very pleased with what I've bought. I'm happy to have "Preloved" furniture and it's good that it hasn't gone into landfill. Keep up the good work, Lighthouse team.

Used Mr senol for my house clearance, he tuurned up as promised on time, and his rate was very competitive compared to others, would highly recommend.
